WOW July Releases

Lots of July new releases to share with you before the August new releases hit the shelves. Always love WOW's amazing products, but July hit a brand new high, the designs were awesome.

OK first up, a fun layout of Mister 10 and his cousin. I decided I had nothing better to do at the time but cut out little people, seriously loose my mind sometimes LOL!

Happy Days

Features Bloom Pack and Happy days dark wood veneer title.

I love the colour in the dark wood veneer, so a simple coat of Dimensional Magic was all that was needed

 photo _DSC0004_zpsfe1cf7c5.jpg

Parts of the Blooms were inked using numerous shades of green blended together, the tips were covered with Stickles and then a blob of Dimensional Magic to highlight the Stickles.

 photo _DSC0007_zps554bd293.jpg

 photo _DSC0002_zps312f5669.jpg

The next page is a gorgeous photo of the boy.

You rock

A few different chipboard pieces put together on this page to give it a real grunge feel.

The title piece You rock designed by Tarrah McLean has been base coated with ink, then the word 'you' has been finished with Glossy Accents and the 'rock' has a thick layer of Stickles.

 photo _DSC0014_zpse0874b60.jpg

Loved these Messy Arrow Frames. It was based with gesso first and then inked with a soft green. The Arrow parts have been coloured with a black texta and then a final coat of Glossy Accents.

 photo _DSC0013_zps554bdd9f.jpg

My very favourite pieces on the page, the Large Plumbing Pipes. I have cut the chipboard in half to place either side of the photo and covered it with pinecone ink as the base. The playing again with my Metallic Rubs adding different colours and highlights to the chipboard. A final coat of Glossy Accents to finish.

Stuck?! Sketches July 15th Reveal

Sharing the second July sketch for Stuck Sketches today. I just love doing multiple photo sketches.
We have also partnered with The Studio Challenge site for this sketch and their colour challenge.

So the colour palette helped to decided what photos I was using for this sketch. Pretty sure the boy would not be happy if I had scrapped him, so the nieces got to feature again. I decided to flip the sketch on to it's side to suit my photos.

Also featured are some of the July new release chipboard pieces from WOW

Scrap The Boys July Challenge

I am very pleased to announce that I have been accepted to do another term on the design team of Scrap the boys and delighted that I will be in the company of such awesome talent.

The team's first STB challenge was to create a page showing our boys playing with Big Boys Toys.
Although my photo is a little older, it definitely shows our boy tackling the big stuff.

Starting him young

Sharing some WOW June New Releases

I've been a bit naughty of late, forgetting to share my WOW creations on my blog after they have been posted over at the WOW blog.

A few girlie pages put together this month featuring my very cute and cheeky great-niece.

The first layout includes the chipboard pieces Leafy Vine - Large and the Intricate Butterfly plus I have used the new 6x6 Striped AltaMATZ to create the background.

She sparkles

 photo _DSC0001_zps1f3b6b9f.jpg

Both the butterfly and the leaves were base-coated with Gesso and then left to dry naturally. The Butterfly was coloured using Gelatos and stickles. Finishing it off with a layer of Glossy Accents on the body and edges of the wings.

 photo _DSC0004_zps24f524a6.jpg

The leaves were also coloured with Gelatos and a few shades of green ink for a variegated look.

 photo _DSC0006_zpsc5d3c8d3.jpg

Page number two of the same little Miss at the playground.

The New Release chipboard pieces featured are a frame from the 6x6 Square Frame, an Ampersand from theAmpersand Pack, the 6x4 chipboard Mixed Circles, the chipboard word Love  and Today Circle from last month New Releases

Love & Pure Joy

 photo _DSC0105_zpsd8142cf7.jpg

All of the chipboard was primed with Gesso.  The Square frame was used on the photo to frame Alexis and draw the eyes, it was coloured with charcoal ink and then swiped lightly with black ink.

I had fun with Distress Inks and colour blending again. The Mixed Circle sheet has been coloured with soft touches of Pickled Raspberry and Peacock Feather.

 photo _DSC0106_zps723b967a.jpg

The Today circle has been simply covered with black ink

 photo _DSC0108_zps759ae08f.jpg

The Love word and Ampersand Have both been covered with blended Distress Inks, Pickled Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade and then coated with Glossy Accent which darkens the intensity of colour.

 photo _DSC0109_zps2aeb0473.jpg

To finish off for tonight I thought I better share one of my two most favourite boys.

I have used the new Triangle 6x6 AltaMATZ  with gesso and Distress Ink to create part of the background effect. I have also used the Love You Heart design AltaMATZ and black Distress ink in each corner.

Absolutely love the chipboard 6x6 Square frame pack that I have used on this page to create a geometric look and frame the photo, they are simply covered with black ink with a faux stitched border around the edges using a metallic pen.

They're mine

 photo _DSC0008_zpseff079fe.jpg

How clever are these new titles! Love the infinity symbol!
Covered Infinity-Mine chipboard with white pigment ink as the base and then coloured it using Distress Ink. Without allowing drying time, I'v applied Glossy Accents which has made the still wet Distress Ink to move, leaving a mottled finish.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I will have more WOW to share with you at the end of the month.
