Scrapbook Savvy - Nutmeg Fall

Sarah does an awesome job of putting together 'One Off Collection Kits' for the store and I was given the opportunity to create with a kit called Nutmeg Fall this month.

Sarah has mixed a great combination of Bella Blvd One Fall day and Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg collections, with alpha stickers and journal stickers included. Some ribbon, blossoms and Cardstock compliment the kit well. It made it really easy to put these pages together.

Having the perfect photos from my little sister's recent visit was the icing on the cake for this scrapping adventure. The colours from the two collection worked beautifully with the photos I had taken of my sweet little gingermegs niece, Rosalie.

Savvy January Manufacturer Challenge

This month's manufacturer is one we have done early last year but with the two gorgeous collections in the shop at the moment, I really couldn't resist featuring it again. Plus I am still loving playing with what Sar had sent me for December LOL!!

The manufacturer is My Minds Eye and the twist to the challenge is to use a patterned paper for your background.

Well what can I say, it's been fun!

Not so happy about the working more and scrapping less bit, but I am hoping 2012 will bring some better time management skills to me LOL.

Scrapbook Savvy - MME Everyday Fun

I have all three this month and can tell you first hand that they are awesome.

Savvy October Reveal - Happy Day

This month over at Scrapbook Savvy I was excited to be given the bright and cheerful collection 'Happy Day' by Simple Stories to create some layouts for inspiration.

Sar obviously knows me very well!!

I totally fell in love with this gorgeous collection, they really are a very clever company! The combination of border strips, journal cards, 4x6 and 6x12 patterns all within the 12x12 papers is fabulous and the sticker sheets that compliment the papers are just perfectly.

I highly recommend buying it all, you really won't need anything else.

The other amazing thing with this collection, although it is based around birthday celebrations, you can use it for many other pages without being restricted and it is very gender neutral.

But lets face it, we all have birthdays every year, so I don't think this collection could possibly go to waste. Hopefully you will find some inspiration from the pages I have made and I am sure there will be a few more to follow.

I've had loads of fun playing with the newly released 2Crafty chipboard designs, it did get a bit messy from time to time, but all worth it in the end.

This page includes the Picket Fence, the slightly tortured Cartia's Swirl and Corine's Swirl for my grass and some left over pieces from a Cogs Border

Now all of those pieces are gorgeous, but my favourite piece of all!

I was getting a little behind with my 52 week album before heading off to the retreat, so it was one thing I knew I wanted to scrap while I was away.
Thankfully it all went to plan :) but I will warn you now, there is no journaling on these pages yet. I find it hard to do when I am away scrapping.

Sadly he soon discovered it was not made for true combat training and he split the arse of it very quickly.

I've been meaning to post about this gorgeous kit all week, I can't believe it is already Thursday! I put this kit together for the Savvy Delight Retreat to teach my very first class :)
It features the awesome collection 'Too Cute to spook' from Bella Blvd, chipboard from WOW and beautiful hand-made embellishments from A Lil Somethin'

Lots of techniques to share with you! Hand-drawing spider webs, masking using your chipboard, lots of tearing, maybe a little hand-cutting LOL!!!, 3-Ding and heaps more! The kit includes detailed 'step by step' instructions that have been tried and tested by the girls from the retreat.

I have created 2 layouts, one with a strong Halloween theme, but can be easily adapted to suit any dress-up or scary situation and the second page will suit all little monsters.

I was absolutely stoked to have the opportunity to scrap with Echo Park Paper - Happy Days collection this month. Sarah has added the collection to the Savvy shop today.

This collection is definitely bright and happy and super flexible to use. You can easily scrap any subject just by choosing different colour combinations. The stickers are a 'must have' when purchasing the papers, they co-ordinate so well.
I created 4 pages so far, 2 very girlie and 2 masculine pages, I have loved every moment I have spent using the. Hoping to do a few more pages over the weekend.

They were revealed for the first time at the Savvy Delights Retreat on the weekend and have now been posted to the Scrapbook Savvy store. Both kits are just divine!! They were slightly smaller than the normal monthly kits but are incredible value!

She's Savvy is nearly $30.00 value selling for $25.

He's Savvy has a value over $35.00 and is selling for a cool price of $30.00

I was lucky enough to create some samples to showcase the He's Savvy kit and I still have plenty left over to play some more this weekend. Both pages have been made using the reverse side of the papers, so you can see how yummy this kit is.

I have some 2Crafty work to do before I leave for the Savvy Delight Retreat on Wednesday morning and I was going to save the She's Savvy kit until the Retreat, but I have failed dismally!
It was just too perfect for the photo of my great niece, so I had to crack it open.

I've added a gorgeous 2Crafty Floral frame to my page, all inked and crackled to blend in with the papers.

Love the final result! One more project to do and then it is time for some serious packing.

Sorry been a bit slack this week with sharing. Just never seems to be enough time in the day.

One thing I have been busy doing is putting together my Bella Blvd DT application. Needed to create 4 new pages to send them, I put together 5 and then couldn't decided LOL!! But I have sent that in, so I will share that with you soon.

It is the beginning of the month again, so I have my manufacturer's challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy to show you. I could not resist the growing popularity of Anthentique! It did help that the three new kits released over at Savvy all included different collections from Authentique.

So the chosen manufacturer for September is AUTHENTIQUE and the extra criteria is to included CIRCLES.

'Back to school' week at Bella Bvld

Over in America the children are starting to head back to school after their summer break and Bella Blvd is joining the party. I was asked to create a page for the blog but with a little twist.
Laura asked me to scrap a school page using any of their other fabulous collections.

I chose one of the latest collections and a big favourite of mine Making the team. The colours are so perfect for Harrison's school colours, they really picked up the detail in the photos.
I think I will definitely need to buy more :)

Weekend Scrapping

I had a lovely quiet weekend at home.
Apart from soccer on Saturday, I think the only time I ventured outside was to hang some washing. The rest of the weekend was spent playing with my scrapbook supplies.

The first page I did was for a friend from Harrison's school. Her and hubbie went to a 1920's party all dressed up and the photo she sent to me was sreaming at me to be scrapped. With her permission, I did a little editing of the photo and started scrapping as a gift for her.

Finally I have actually managed a weekend pretty much full of scrapping!
And I am delighted :)

Thursday night was dedicated to 2Crafty and another gorgeous chipboard title, Imagine

Look at my little man!! Where did my baby go? I love scrapping older photos.

I met with some gorgeous friends Friday night for 4 hours of uninterrupted creativity. I managed 2 'just for' pages using the yummy Bo Bunny Ad lib collection.

My younger Sister and the kids surprised us with a visit all the way from Brisbane last Saturday, so the scrapping achieved has been very minimal.
But I must admit, I was really enjoying spending my time with family for the week.

This month I have been lucky enough to create with the new Jenni Bowlin collection, Haven. The very first thing I noticed with these papers, they have FINALLY started using heavy duty cardstock, YEAH. Over the years, they have released some amazing collection but I have generally steered clear because of the paper quality.

But that is no longer an issue, the quality is divine!! And they smell yummy, yes I do sniff the paper LOL!

The collection has a vintage feel to it, but it works beautifully with any black and white photos. I've started by creating a masculine page of my 2 favourite guys to a phoot shoot with my beautiful Great-Niece Alexis.

Bella Blvd - Christmas Wishes

Their final collection has been released over at Bella Blvd and now they are madly preparing for the 2011 Summer CHA.
I am sure it will be a very successful event.

This Christmas collection is gorgeous!
The colour combination is fresh and bright and I love the choice of patterns Bella Blvd have used, very universal and festive.

Did you know 2Crafty have added some fabulous new chipboard titles to their collection?

I've used Little Angel to scrap a page of my gorgeous niece.
We bought her this beautiful skirt from Shabbylicious Designs and I couldn't wait to see her in it. Be even better when she is walking.

The title has been embossed with a stars folder and my BigShot, then given a light spray of glimmermist and left to dry. To finish it off I have swiped the raised areas with a gold ink pad.

Sorry I am dragging my feet a little this week, I've had a secret mission to complete which I have been working since Monday night and finally finished it at 3.30am this morning. The project is now on it's way to the other side of the world.

This week sketch from The Scrappiest was simply fantastic! It came together really quickly and it was perfect to showcase a 2Crafty chipboard title at the same time :)

Here's the sketch, I know you will love it too

I have used the words 'Father' and 'son' from the Family Word Pack
I've grabbed 3 different co-ordinating colours of glimmermist and sprayed the chipboard in layers of colour. Once dry I used my black ink pen to doodle around the edges of the letters.

Very happy with the end result!

Very unproductive weekend

Too much happening I think!
Some test done on Thursday that had me feeling miserable, then on Friday I hurt my back......vacuuming LOL! I wish it was more exciting.
I worked an extra shift on Saturday, missing my boy playing his first soccer game. And DH forgot the camera, DOH!!
We celebrated my Aunt and Uncle's combined 60th Birthday on Saturday night. A late night for us all.

And then finally on Sunday, I got to scrap!
I finished week 23 for our 52 week album, just have last weeks to catch up on.

Absolutely love the building blocks from 2 Crafty and they were the perfect embellishment to add to Week 24 of my 52 weeks page. Harrison went to a 7th birthday party that was purely about Lego and he loved it.

Each block has been inked with bright colours and then given that 'plastic' look with a coat of Glossy Accent. Very happy with the finished look.

2 Crafty reveal - Searching for your treasure.

Well I have tied 2 pieces of work into one project over the past week.
This is my page for our 'Home-made' Cybercrop over at Scrapbook Savvy this weekend, but I have also used some gorgeous 2 Crafty chipborad pieces to bring it to life.

My last 2 Crafty post I trimmed Rebecca's Border to fit on my 8.5x11 page. So here I have put the small swirls leftover to good use, inked in black with a touch of gold doodling added.

As I seem to have a liking for chopping up chipboard, I did exactly that to a beautiful Ivy Square, I do try to be gentle :)
I have placed each half on opposite sides of the photos, both lightly inked in black and doodled in gold pen.

The last pieces used where part of the embellishment cluster on the page. A scalloped circle frame, lightly inked is the base of the cluster, my home-made journal pocket to hold all of the journaling and then a 2 Crafty Vintage Key inked with gold and a touch of black, tied with some red twine and a button added to finish things off.

My goodness, two posts in one day!

Well I have managed to finish one Savvy challenge this week-end.
I have them all planned out, but I have run out of scrapping time today.

Anthea's Savvy sketch is very cool this month and is based on a Wendy Smith creation. I had heaps of fun scrapping it and found myself being inspired by an awesome scrapping style done by Georgia Keays.

I sat up late last night playing with some 2 Crafty chipboard and Kaisercraft Party Animals. Picture one very happy girl!
There was plenty of ink, Glimmermist, stickles and Glossy Accents sprawled out all over the bench and over my hands.

I've used a few pieces of chipboard, the tiger from the Jungle1 Animals, a flower spray cut into 2 pieces and the gorgeous wrought iron fence.

The photos were taken through the glass at Australia Zoo last year, I was pretty happy how they turned out considering I had no filters at the time.

Hi to anyone passing through :)
I have only been home for the past few hours after spending a fabulous scrapping weekend away in the country with 2 gorgeous friends.
We left here on Friday night and scrapped our time away until the wee hours of this morning. We would have loved to stay another day or so but sadly we all have to work.

First thing on my scrapping 'to do' list was to attack the gorgeous kit Sar had put together for me using this awesome collection from MME. Sar really does know me very well, cause I have been drooling over this collection for weeks!!
Such perfect papers to scrap master Harrison and no shortage of photos.

Went for the layered look using 2 gorgeous 12x12 chipboard borders from 2 Crafty. Gave them both an ink treatment, the butterflies have been shaded and the flourish border a speckled finish. Love the depth it gives the page and how cute is the little girl. She definitely makes me look better LOL!

May Challenges at Scrapbook Savvy

This month the DT girls at Savvy have changed their challenges to add a little variety to your inspiration pool.
My challenge will be based on a manufacturer for the month, with a little twist added each month.

More scrapping

I have been up late the past few nights scrapping away and having a ball and I have realised I really do not want to go back to work. But like all good things, the fun has to end sooner or later.

I've finished the last 2 weeks for my 52 week album and scrapped some older photos that have been sitting around for awhile. I even challenged myself to use my scraps before getting out any new collections, boy that was tough.

And one last page squeezed from EP Little Boy. I think these photos were printed off to do a sketch at some stage earlier in the year. I can't find the sketch now, but I thought I would scrap the photos anyway.

Holiday Scrapping

Well there wasn't any scrapping happening here today after cleaning the house from top to bottom and last night was spent camping in the backyard, but I have managed a few pages over the long weekend.

I did Sar's Blind Scrap late Saturday night using the final pieces of my Savvy DT kit Echo Park - Playground. The page also includes a 2 Crafty Arrows covered with patterned paper and the centres from 2 Crafty Flower Spurts.
I think they make great splotches :)

Also squeezed a card out from the EP Playground scraps using this month's MME card sketch.

The next page started from Stuck?! April 15th sketch. It changed a little, but I think it still resembles the original sketch. I managed to sneak in a few more pieces from 2 Crafty, one remaining Thought bubble put to good use and a scalloped circle border for my journalling.

This last page started from Feb 15th Stuck?! Sketches but I think I lost my way somewhere along the way. Never mind still love it.

Happy Easter Saturday!

I have been experimenting again with my 2 Crafty chipboard and loads of fun stuff. I love making a mess :)

Sadly it's very overcast so the photos won't really show how cool the chippie looks but hopefully you get the idea.

I've used a few Butterflies, some Flower spurts and used some new flourish pieces that I have used as a frame.

Decided to play with some hand-made flowers and then enhanced the photo for a little fun.

Time is passing so quickly this year and before I knew it I was nearly 4 weeks behind WTH!! But I can now happily say I am now up-to-date YEAH!!
