SCRaPDANGo July Kit reveal

This month both kits are amazing! So fabulous in fact, they have both sold out very quickly.

The Sugar Kit is the aptly named collection Pebbles Inc "So Tweet".
A gorgeous blend of Red, green and Blue with Brown and white as your base colors. Making this collection complete was the feature of birds, flowers and trees, perfect for any girlie pages.
The SCRaPDANGo DT girls Julie, Ginni and Keely have created stunning projects, you can see them here,

The Spice Kit is the awesome range from Fancy Pants, Kraft Kuts!!
A girl can NEVER have enough Kraft I say.
I love the stars and arrows that feature throughout most of the papers and each paper is full of color without being busy and congested.
DT girls, Heather and Alyssa have given this range a fantastic workout.
Head over to the SCRaPDANGo gallery to check the projects out,

Christmas in July Crop at Scrapbook Savvy

Is still happening.

You have until Midnight Thursday to upload your works of art to the appropriate gallery.
The DT girls put together some fabulous challenges, head over to Savvy to check them out.
http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/forum/viewforum.php?f=118&sid=010cb6a07f2bda73570c3704de0992a8

My challenge for the crop was to create a christams layout using a christmas song or quote as the title and make a hand-made christmas tree embellishment for your page.
Of course no christmas page would be complete without some BLING!!

This is what I came up with using some Kaisercraft papers and HOS and Scrapware Chipboard.
You will have to excuse me for not journaling my page yet, still very hard for me.
This beautiful lady standing next to me is my BFF, who suddenly left this world in March.
I really can't put any words to it ATM.

Hope you get the chance to play along.

Remember you have until Midnight July 31st to create something amazing and email it to Karlene and Charm challenge_123@hotmail.com
There are some amazing prizes up for grabs!

The suspense is killing me!!

Really it is, I have NO nails left!
The announcement for the winner of SURVIVOR over at http://hdscrapbooking.com.au/forum/index.php is looming closer.
Voting closes at Midnight tonight and then the DT girls will tally the votes.
Good luck to Marie and I am so glad I didn't have to vote!

Just for a recap, the final challenge for Marie and myself, was to create a layout about a woman who inspired us, they could be living or dead, with the fabulous collection Andre from MME and using 2Crafty chipboard alpha.

Photobucket

Here is Marie's gorgeous creation to check out http://mariesheil.typepad.com/said_simply/2009/07/it-is-all-over-this-week-.html

I chose my beautiful mother, through all of my tough times and there have been a few LOL!
Marriage break-up, loosing my first born and just recently the sudden and heart breaking lost of my dearest friend, she has always supported and understood me, even through her own pain.
And I love her dearly and I would have never survived without her by my side.

So here is my creation and Mum loved it,

Scrap the Boys July Challenge

To create a layout capturing your boys doing things that may not be the most masculine…so a little bit on the "girly" side...you know maybe it is a secret thing for pink, them in some girly dress-ups, makeup, flowers in there hair… we all have those photos that you think “hmmm that will be a good one for their 21st birthday party…lol”
Anyway, now is the time to drag them out and put them on paper…
If you don’t have any photos maybe you could journal about it instead…document it before it is forgotten.
Your criteria is to start your title with “real men (or boys) don’t….” (mind pink; look bad in heels…etc)
Have fun and I can’t wait to see your layouts.

The DT at http://scraptheboys.blogspot.com/ have really ROCKED this challenge, so hope you head over to check them out!

Here is my take on the challenge and I am sure I will live to regret this page. HeHe!!

Final Survivor Challenge @ Hybrid

Well the final challenge has been issued by Toni at http://hdscrapbooking.com.au/forum/index.php,
now that both Marie and myself have our kits.
We have both been given My Mind's Eye collection 'Andrea', which I have admire for awhile!

Photobucket

And our challenge?

Using the paper pack and chippie alpha provided, please make a LO about a woman you admire. This can be someone you know in real life, or an historical figure.
You can add anything to the LO (embellies, CS etc) but the LO must be about 75% using the products provided.

So I have decided, as much as I would like to do my beautiful friend who has inspired me for a very long time, I realised there was one very important women in my world who I had never really scrapped, shocking I know.
My beautiful Mother!! We are too busy scrapping the rest of the family, we both forget about each other, so now will be her turn to shine.
And it will be a surprise, cause I have told her a little white lie about the challenge. LOL!
But I need to find a nice photo first!!
Hopefully will get it finished tonight or tomorrow.

Good luck to Marie, I can't wait to see your page.

July DT Reveal @ Savvy

Sar gave me the awesome collection Garden Grove from Scenic Route this month, which is my favourite manufacturer ATM.
Check it out in-store here http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=134_605_606

The bright colors in this range are so intoxicating and co-ordinate perfectly together, for the first time in a while, my designs practically created themselves.
And I love the die-cut sheets Scenic Route have to go with their papers, the arrows and alphabet are fabulous additions to any page.
The papers are double sided which is always a bonus and I love the unisex possibilities with the different patterns, there are a few florals and your ever reliable strips and spots.

I have added a few extra pieces from the store to my creations that can be found here

http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=94_581
http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=167_637

Scrapwares gorgeous feathers were designed by our very own Lisa Warren and the fabulous 7Gypsies 97% journal stickers which I just adore!!
