Survivor update

The tension is building over at Hybrid Designs, the DT girls have added a little twist for Marie and myself for the final challenge.
The awesome girls have put together a kit for each of us and sent them on their way, mine arrived Friday afternoon, but Marie is still waiting.
Australia Post ROCK as usual........NOT!!
So hopefully Marie's kit will arrive on Monday and then the DT girls (ToniL, MariaD, AnnL & KymC) can issue the final instructions.
It is all very exciting I have to admit and I love the kit I have been sent, but better keep it secret for now LOL!!
It is all just a waiting game for the moment, but check back soon!

June DT reveal @ Savvy

This month I was asked by Sar to showcase the beautiful collection SEI - Bridgeport.
These divine double-sided papers are well co-ordinated, the colours compliment each other nicely and then to finish off some papers have a touch of gloss or foil.
The matching embellishments are gorgeous!!
Puff Alphabet, rubons, Frames and tags, they are the perfect finishing touch to any page.

Head over to the Savvy store to see this range for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Time for bed!

Well I still have plenty to update, but I can hear my side of the bed calling.
It wasn't so bad once I had started, but I don't think I will find all of the past 3 months.

Our house is full of bugs ATM, Haz has been sick on and off for the past 2 weeks. Unfortunate enough to catch 2 different bugs. Poor little man and now Shane has some chesty bug and I think he has given it to me. But of course he is far sickier than I, as always!!

Until next time, which won't be as long as last time, take care of yourselves!

Savvy June Ad Challenge

I had a little chuckle when I found this Ad.
I couldn't believe how much it looked like a scrapbook page.
It was an Ad to work from for a base. It is a great opportunity this month to use some of your diecut papers sitting around or you can hand cut a shape from your papers.
You could use one large photo or a few smaller ones.
There are lots of possibilities for your page.
I can't wait to see what you create from the Ad.

Scrap the Boys June Challenge

Boys and their Toys!!
Our boys (young and old) love their toys don't they?
So this month it is time to get those obsessions or the "flavour of the month" down on a page. Not to many criteria this month obviously the photo needs to be about the boys and the their toys ( but if you don't have one or time to take one you could journal about it instead)...and the other criteria is a colour one...Red, Black and One other colour!

My colour choice was Red, Black and Cream and my boys obsession...........Transformers!!

More than meets the eyes

In memory of a beautiful sole.

It's been so long since I have updated, but today I am taking the big step forward.

On March 4th 2009, my dearest friend in my whole wide world was found dead in her unit.
At the age of 45 her life ended so suddenly and my life came crashing down.
We have since found out it was her heart, but that doesn't make it any easier.

She was there for me everyday for the past 11 years, godmother to my children and a big part of our family.
We were supposed to grow old as friends, we joked about what colour rinse we would have in our hair and who would Harry be pushing around the shops in a wheelchair.
We never talked about death and yet now I have to explain to my beautiful boy what it all means.
He adored her so much, it breaks my heart that he will miss out on so much.
That we will miss out on so much with her.

Cattie, I miss you so much. I know you are with our little princess, that is the only saving grace.
Why is life so unfair, you were so happy, you had your new car and your career was going so well. I struggle to think how I will ever be the same person without you here.
Watch over me, guide me to a better place and keep us safe.

You will forever be in my heart xx
