Stuck?! June 15th Sketch

Brrrrrrrrrr!! It is a little chilly here this morning.

It's time to share my take on the second Stuck?! sketch for this month.

Here is June15th Sketch

This is what I did with it.
I've used a photo I took last month of Harrison and his very close friend Tyler. They have known each other since mother's group when they were only a few month's old and have been great pals ever since.
I spy a few pieces of WOW chipboard, both pieces '2013' and the title 'Mates forever' have been covered with ink and then outlined with a white pen.

Mates Forever

Entries are to be linked up over in the sidebar no later than 11.59pm Sunday June 30th 2013 to be in the running for one of this month's sponsor vouchers.

When linking your entries, please make sure it is linked to the specific post your layout is in, not your blog as a whole as it can be hard later in the month to find your layout, especially if you blog often. You can also link from any gallery including Facebook and Flickr.

Entries are to be created solely for this challenge and not to be used in any other competition or challenge.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

WOW June Challenge

This months challenge consists of a few things.

SKETCH + B/W PHOTO + WOW

This awesome sketch has been borrowed (with permission) from Color Conspiracy
& was designed by the awesome Nine.

To be in the running to win some great chipboard products, all you have to do is a layout  using the sketch above, a black & white photo & your favourite WOW product on your project.

Easy peasey!!

So to get you started here's my take on the challenge and if you can't tell, I LOVED doing this page!!

The chipboard featured on my page are two domino's from the Domino Pack. They have been covered with black ink, the dots added using Kindy Glitz and then a thick coat of Glossy Accent

50th Wedding Anniversary Album (Final Part)

I completely forgot to post this to my blog after doing so well.

Well this is the final share of the album that was given to my parents for their anniversary.

The first few photographs are collages of my two younger sisters and their pages.
These pages were scrapped by a very special lady in Brisbane, Debbie Blanchard.
She is a very dear friend of my sister's, Leanne & Mandy and she was thrilled to be apart of the mammoth project. She was able to help us with the album and created four gorgeous pages.
These were sent with the girls when they flew down for the party.

The custom-cut chipboard titles and Mini People Pack were decorated by me, using gold paint and glitter Mod Podge.

So next up to the podium is Mandy, the second youngest daughter

 photo 20130519_1901_zps0e856131.jpg

and then finally Sharon, the baby of the family, and then there were five :)

 photo 20130519_1902_zps349d4056.jpg

The next two pages are for the great-grandchildren.
My parents are blessed to have two, so far, they are Jordan who is 8 and Alexis is two.
Both are from my eldest sister's son.

I created the title using a mixture of Classic Lowercase & Block Lowercase Alphabet, covered with gold ink

 photo _DSC0058_zps4a2b79fb.jpg

 photo _DSC0061_zpsa2070f2a.jpg

The final two pages are of my parents and a family shot taken on their anniversary when all of us were together for the weekend.

The title 'Celebrating you' was another custom piece covered with gold ink. The butterflies from the Butterfly Element Pack  were randomly covered with gold and aqua inks. Once dry, they were coated with Crackle Accent and jazzed up with some rhinestones.

 photo _DSC0068_zps8a4c5697.jpg

The Heart Trio was covered with gold paint, stamped using a flourish stamp and aqua ink and then finished with a nice coat of Glossy Accents.

 photo _DSC0066_zps07ea67cd.jpg

The title We Are Family was simply inked with gold and I then added a few gemstones to highlight some of the letters. Not sure if you can see, but this page also features the last time we had a family portrait taken, about 1986. About time we updated.

 photo _DSC0070_zpscbf21c8f.jpg

Well that's all folks.
Thank you for allowing me to share this very special project with you and I hope you have found something to inspire you to create.

Thanks for dropping in.

We are Family - WOW Week

Good Morning All!

The page I am sharing today was created last weekend, with a few modifications added late Thursday night.

On the layout I have used a 2013 from the 2013 Pack and 3 hearts form the Mini Heart Pack.
They have been covered using bronze ink and stickles to add a little bit of shimmer to the page.

 photo _DSC0004_zps40c9ebe6.jpg

 photo _DSC0003_zps146b0877.jpg

The WOW title We are Family has been covered by blending 3 different ink colours together to match the papers. Once the ink was dry, I have sealed it using Crackle Accent.

 photo _DSC0010_zps409e0371.jpg

 photo _DSC0008_zps287c3c6d.jpg

If you are wondering what I added at the last minute? I decided it needed a few flowers and pearls to give the page a bit more dimension.

We are family

I hope you have enjoyed my WOW Week, I will have one more share of the album tomorrow to finish off my week. Thanks again for dropping by.

50th Wedding Anniversary (Part Three) - WOW Week

Hello and welcome.

I was planning to share another layout with you today, but I had forgotten to photograph the page on the weekend and last night when I arrived home it was very dark and dreary. I will hopefully have that page for you tomorrow or Saturday.

So today I will continue to share my parent's album with  you.

We are up to child number two. She is my big Sis and a scrapbooker in training.
She was amazing help with the album, could not have finished it without her.

The chipboard titles 'Leanne' & 'Eldest Daughter' are again custom-cut by WOW, they have been covered with gold paint and then finished off with Glitter Mod Podge.

Almost Nine - WOW Week

Back again with more WOW

Over the past 2 weekends I have been trying to get back my crafty groove after burning my bridges creating and completing the album and I must admit, it has taken me quite a few layouts to be liking things again.

Today I want to share a layout I completed last week of my darling boy who celebrated his 9th Birthday recently. Over the past 2 years I have snapped a photo of him sleeping on his birthday eve so I can capture those memories and scrap them. Said son not overly impressed.

I have used a star from the 12x12 Star frames to frame his sleepy face. It has been simply covered using  Bronze Brilliance Metallic Inks. The wonky starts are from the Skewed Stars pack. They have been inked using brown and then stamped with a script stamp and bronze ink.

 photo _DSC0005_zps36b8173e.jpg

 photo _DSC0004_zpsfa5d17a0.jpg

This is what the final page looks like, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

More to come tomorrow, stay tuned :)

50th Wedding Anniversary (Part Two) - WOW Week

Welcome back to the blog.

Today I am sharing a few more pages from my parent's album.

This is the church they were married in back in country South Australiain 1963. The title for this page 'Where it all began' was a custom-cut WOW chipboard piece that has been covered with gold paint and a quick lick of glitter Mod Podge. I used another Butterfly from a Butterfly Elements pack covered with a combination of gold and aqua inks.

 photo _DSC0013_zps385eabb0.jpg

 photo _DSC0015_zps12772a6f.jpg

And here is the happy couple on their special day. They look so young!
The chipboard pieces have all been covered using gold paint, once dry, I have finished them off with a good coat of Glossy Accents. I have used Heart Trio x2, the word Wedding as my title and some hearts from the Mini Heart Pack

 photo _DSC0017_zpsd210eb44.jpg

 photo _DSC0020_zps938bb8d2.jpg

 photo _DSC0019_zpsc233776c.jpg

OK now to show off my parent's greatest assets, their children and families.

You may notice there are gold envelopes on each page. Each envelope holds messages/pictures from the children, their partners and the grandchildren. They tell our parents how much they are loved, some of our favourite memories from our childhood and what this occasion means to us.

First to arrive and the eldest of the bunch, is my brother Peter. Such a handsome man!
Both of the chipboard pieces featured here were custom-cut.
They have been covered with gold paint and glitter Mod Podge.

 photo _DSC0021_zpsc04334a4.jpg

 photo _DSC0023_zpsf6943d28.jpg

 photo _DSC0024_zpsd880dfdb.jpg

On the opposite page to each child, is a page created capturing their beautiful families. I loved creating the collages of each family for the album. I have used the Mini People Pack to represent each family member. They have been simply inked with gold.
 photo _DSC0025_zps9efd6dc7.jpg

 photo _DSC0027_zpsa1ac7fd1.jpg

Well I think I will leave it there for today, I will have more from the album later in the week.
Hope you will check back tomorrow to see what else I have been doing.

Thanks for visiting the blog.

Stuck?! June 1st Sketch

Wow! This is my second post for the day, finally getting myself organised!

I hope you can see by my pages how much I am enjoying my time on the Stuck?! design team.
I always love the sketches that Sara creates and find them so easy to use.

Here is the first sketch for this month

Loved the multi-photo sketch and I have the perfect series of photos to scrap

Just love being together
My page created using the sold out April He's Savvy Kit from Scrapbook Savvy

50th Wedding Anniversary (Part One) WOW Week

On the 11th of May, my parents celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

At some stage during April, we went a little crazy and came up with a brilliant idea of putting together an album to capture some of the great memories of their time together.

It was an awesome team effort, with my big sister, Leanne, one of our Aunty's (Mum's sister) Aunt Sue and of course, me.
The hardest part of this adventure was that I was the only scrapper, but with Aunt Sue dabbling in craft and Leanne being a fabulous learner, we pushed ahead.
It is amazing what you can achieve with family.

The other star I must mention for this project was, of course, Suzanne and WOW chipboard.

She supplied all of the chipboard pieces for the entire album, many pieces were custom cut and then she rushed the order to give us plenty of time. I can not thank her enough!

I chose the Kaisercraft collection 'Elegance' to use for the project, perfect colours and embellishments.
The golden box that holds the album was found at my local News Agent, it was decorated with flowers, papers, gems, ribbon and the 50th Anniversary title. The title was covered with Brilliance gold ink and then coated with a layer of gold stickles.

 photo _DSC0001_zps8c36bc82.jpg

 photo _DSC0003_zps2419ac66.jpg

I used an American Craft D-ring album that I have covered the outside of the album with patterned paper, stickers and chipboard. The insides of the album were painted with gold paint. The front cover features another 50th Anniversary title, with only the 50th covered with stickles and a gorgeous butterfly from the Butterfly Elements pack. I have protected the entire album with a few coats of matte Mod Podge.

 photo _DSC0005_zps08b133db.jpg

 photo _DSC0008_zpsf27fc2e7.jpg

The butterfly was covered with silver and turquoise ink, starting with silver in the centre and blending out to the edge of the wings with the turquoise. Once dry the butterfly was coated with Crackle Accents.

 photo _DSC0007_zps10d1f26d.jpg

The first page was used as a title page, it features a custom piece of WOW chipboard, Celebrating your 50th Wedding Anniversary. This title was covered with gold paint and layer of glitter Mod Podge.

 photo _DSC0010_zps0a417e91.jpg

 photo _DSC0012_zps0669b4d7.jpg

That's all for today  :) Hope you have enjoyed the album so far.
Tomorrow I will share their church and wedding photos along with their first born.

Thank you for visiting the blog.
