WOW's August Challenge - Colour Challenge

This month at Words Or Whatever we are having a colour challenge! 

Here is the pallet to work from:

AQUA    PURPLE    CREAM

Here is how YOU enter:

• Create a layout using the challenge colours...aqua, purple and cream, and include at least one piece of WOW chipboard.
• Post your layout on your blog, then enter your projects via the linky on this post.  Be sure to share the actual blog post address, not your home blog address. 
• There will be 2 winners. One voted on by our DT, and a random draw.
• Remember to go to your local store and grab some WOW chipboard and have a go at this month's challenge.
• Entries close Friday 14 September 2012 at midnight.

It's great to see so many variations of the challenge from the DT girls, there is a ton of inspiration over on the blog for you to check out.

Here's my take on the colour challenge, I've used the Whirly Flourish and a Mini Birdhouse to decorate my page.

Two gorgeous August's new chipboard releases to show you.

I was thrilled to receive a delicate 51/2" x 51/2" square frame which I have covered with black ink as a base and then used a clear embossing powder, glitter and a heat gun to put a raised, glittery finish to it.

Here is another new piece, a gorgeous 111/2" x 111/2" square frame. I have applied a coat of white gesso and then I've sprayed the frame with a few layers of two different sprays, Christmas Glimmer Mist and Mister Hueys Hot Dog. Once the frame was dry to touch, I randomly swiped Brilliance Ink in Blue and Gold. The Final layer was applying Glossy Accents to the entire frame while it was still drying which allowed the colours to blend together.

Have you heard my exciting news?

I am the newest Design Team member over at WORDS OR WHATEVER aka WOW chipboard and I could not be happier. I think it is very cool to be joining such a hugely talented bunch of ladies.
