Stuck September 1st Sketch

Well it was great to hear that Stuck Sketches has found a new owner and the blog will continue to inspire so many people. A big welcome to Laura, I am looking forward to the next chapter.

With the search for a new keeper and the change over, we were running a little late with the first sketch this month, but I think everything is back on track.

So here is the Sept 1st Sketch

Finally got some scrapping done yesterday while trying to pack for a retreat. Photos of one of my gorgeous nieces posing with her Grandmas doll.

Day Two of WOW inspiration

Yep I'm back again!
Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous spring weather at the moment.

Today's page is Sliding Trio
These are recent photos from my baby Sister's visit. Here is my son and his cousins giving the slippery dip near Grandmas a good workout.

This page features lots of different WOW products.

I used the Random Stars 12x12 AltaMATZ to jazz up the background cardstock, I have outlined the stars with a gold metallic pen and then coloured them in. Simple but effective.

The embellishment cluster starts with a new Kraft Bits Journal Card as the base.
The Mini Polaroid Frame 'Laugh' has been covered with navy ink and backed with lined paper to become my journal spot.

I love the small Tree of Hearts. The tree was covered with charcoal ink first and let to dry. Once dry, I have coloured the hearts with Turquoise Stickles for a touch of bling. The cluster is complete with the '2013' that was also covered with charcoal ink and then given a coat of Dimensional Magic.

The title has been created using the New Boy Alphabet. I have used Metallic silver ink to colour the letters and then sealed them with Dimensional Magic. The final piece of WOW is the Thumbs Up wood veneer icon was inked with a light yellow and then a thick coat of Dimensional Magic was applied to give it a full finish.

I really love how this page turned out, captures how much fun the kids were having perfectly.

It's my WOW week!

Hello there, I am finally getting caught up on my blog, I'm sure I've lost a week of August somewhere.

So it's my turn to share some of my new creations for Words Or Whatever over on the blog this week, it only seems right that I should share them here too.
I will have five different pages to show you, spread across the week. I hope they will give you plenty of ideas for you to try on your own projects.

Today's page is Zoo Visit
Photos are from 2010 and feature my son and his best mate.

I have used the chipboard Bamboo Tree and two of the Mini Speech Bubbles

The tree has been inked using three different shades of green and roughly coated with Dimensional Magic to help blend the colours.

The speech bubbles were coloured using red and yellow inks and left to dry for short period. Then using a black gel been I have doodled borders around each of them and used the pen to highlight the words etched into each bubble. A coat of Dimensional Magic was applied to finish the pieces off which also helped to enhance the black pen.
