Tagged!

Recently I was tagged by Heather from http://www.scrapdango.net/ and here is what I need to do,

Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.

1. Pick the 6th Folder, then select the the 6th picture in that folder.

2. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.

3. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

Not so happy with the photo, really enhances my double chin!!
This was taken May 21st 2006 and it was Harry's 2nd birthday party at the place we were renting while building our home. This was one of many gifts, a basketball ring, that he still plays with now. It was a great family day.

Now the 6 people I am tagging,

Enjoy!!

A few things to share with you

For some-one who says she doesn't like doing OTP, I have certainly been busy doing things that resemble them. And dare I say, I have really enjoyed each one of them.
Thought I would share them with you.

I am currently a playing along in a contest called SURVIVOR over at Hybrid Designs Scrapbooking, pop over to http://www.hdscrapbooking.com.au/ to check things out.
My little creation was a part of Challenge one and taking inspiration from our team design that was chosen, which involved red, black and white plus rings.

GO KANZAN!!

I chose a candle to decorate with Kaisercraft Sakura Park collection, our teams were named after the papers.

My next project was for the Cybercrop at HDS last weekend, we were challenged to create an OTP with our scrappy goals for 2009.
I pulled out the Sakura Park papers again and Kaisercraft hanging frame and put this together.

And finally, my masterpiece (no just kidding, me masterpiece) my groovy plaque I put together for my DT work at Scrapbook Savvy http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/
Using Crate Paper Prudence (you know how much I love it!!) and Kaisercraft hanging frames and a few other bits and pieces.
'Looking Back 2008' was designed to capture some of my little mans achievements for 2008

A very sad week @ 2 Croppin Cousinz

My 12 month DT position has drawn to a close, but it also marks the end of the 2CC Messageboard.
Amy and Kelly have made an extremely difficult decision to close the board and will no longer produce their awesome 12x12 kits.

But on a brighter note, they are heading to a blog format and will bring back their fabulous project kits and have begun to set-up an Etsy Store.
Head over to the new blog for all of the details http://www.2croppincousinz.typepad.com/

A big THANK YOU to Amy and Kelly and the awesome team I have spent the past 12 months working with, your frienship and encouragement mean so much.
Look out blog here we come!!

So for the final 12x12 kit, we had the oppportunity to play with a line that I had never heard of, but the papers were amazing.
Magenta's Pleasure collection was just that, a real pleasure!
More pinks and greens with a touch of brown to delight and some amazing patterns.
The kit can be purchased on the blog www.2croppincousinz.typepad.com

Enjoy!!

Scrap the boys February Challenge

has been issued and after an awesome response to the January challenge, let's see if you can top it.

As the weather gets hotter and the days are still long, do your boys enjoy spending time outside. We thought that this months challenge would revolve around the great outdoors...

We would like to see you create a layout with the theme of "THE GREAT OUTDOORS"
Let us see boys doing what they do outside...there is also a technique criteria to this months challenge I would like to see you use stamping on the layout somewhere ...

Email your pages to susan.longman@bigpond.com by Midnight February 28th to be in the running for some fabulous prizes

Here is my take on the challenge, my stamps are Rachelle Minett's Journal stamp and the title letters are stamped with Hero Art border stamp

Savvy's February Ad challenge

The entries for January were just amazing, so I hope you can all play along again.

Over the past week I have been surfin the net looking for some new Ad's for 2009.
I have found some really cool ones from all over the world.

This one really caught my eye, I think because of its simplicity and enormous potential.

Surprisingly I have gone for simple, but I love my page. I did try to add more to it, but came to the conclusion it just didn't need it.

So lets see what you can take from it, I can't wait!!

Upload your designs over at www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au by Midnight February 28th to be in the running for a $10 Savvy store voucher.
