Playing along with some Savvy challenges

I always have good intentions of doing the monthly and CC challenges set by the other DT girls, but with all this working business getting in the way I don't usually get the chance to do them. But this month, being on holidays means I have been able to scrap non stop and I've had a ball!!

SUYS January 1st sketch Challenge

Sadly my holidays are quickly drawing to a close :( in fact I head back to work tomorrow. Boohoo!! Thankfully for my sanity I have enjoyed a little scrapping fest over the past few days and I will have plenty to share with you over the next week or so.

This is the first time I have played along over at Show us your stuff, I loved using the sketch challenge from January 1st to create this page.

Scrapbook Savvy - Nutmeg Fall

Sarah does an awesome job of putting together 'One Off Collection Kits' for the store and I was given the opportunity to create with a kit called Nutmeg Fall this month.

Sarah has mixed a great combination of Bella Blvd One Fall day and Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg collections, with alpha stickers and journal stickers included. Some ribbon, blossoms and Cardstock compliment the kit well. It made it really easy to put these pages together.

Having the perfect photos from my little sister's recent visit was the icing on the cake for this scrapping adventure. The colours from the two collection worked beautifully with the photos I had taken of my sweet little gingermegs niece, Rosalie.

I took this gorgeous photo of Harrison on NYE and decided it had to be scrapped straight away. I have used the 2Crafty Star Frame with Stars as a feature on my page and thought it would make the perfect journal spot. Decorated with inks and gel pens.

I am still scrapping Christmas photos, just can't help myself! I think it has something to do with the yummy 2Crafty chipboard I have in my stash LOL!

I have used a flourish, Nordic Snowflakes and the Christmas from the Merry Christmas title to decorate my take on this month's Wendy Smith sketch over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. Thanks Wendy xxx, love the end result!

Savvy January Manufacturer Challenge

This month's manufacturer is one we have done early last year but with the two gorgeous collections in the shop at the moment, I really couldn't resist featuring it again. Plus I am still loving playing with what Sar had sent me for December LOL!!

The manufacturer is My Minds Eye and the twist to the challenge is to use a patterned paper for your background.

Wrap up for 2011

Well what can I say, it's been fun!

Not so happy about the working more and scrapping less bit, but I am hoping 2012 will bring some better time management skills to me LOL.

I won't hold my breathe!

I have created a collage of my favourite layouts for 2011, it's ready to be scrapped once I start my holidays.

This weekend we are Cybercropping over at Scrapbook Savvy with a Christmas theme.

I decided on a puzzle piece challenge.

You need to use a tree, star, ticket, bow and music note on your page somewhere to play along.
