Major Catch Up

I can't believe it has been over a month since I have posted anything creative on my blog!
I have plenty to share with you cause I always try to make time to create, but I just lack the extra time to sit in front of my computer lately. I could be the only person who will read this LOL! but that will be my own fault. Maybe I will make my Mum read it.

Big apologies to Vanessa @ 2Crafty and Sarah @ Scrapbook Savvy, I have really let you down over the past 4 weeks keeping my blog updated, but I will try to make things right with this post.

So HUGE warning, you may require food and water before you start to read, maybe even a toilet break  :)

2Crafty - Best Chipboard Manufacturing Company EVER!

There is lots happening over at 2Crafty!

Firstly Vanessa has recently announced her next DT Call

We are inviting applications from  crafters who are interested in joining the
2Crafty Chipboard Design Team.
If you love using chipboard in your scrapbooking and papercrafting, then we would love to hear from you.
The term will be for 6 months, beginning in August 2012 and finishing at the end of January 2013.
Successful applicants  will commit to 2 layouts/projects every 3-4  weeks, including tips and techniques as part of your posts.  As well you will need to have,  and update, an active personal blog and facebook page.
In return for your commitment to the 2Crafty DT, you will receive a generous amount of 2Crafty chipboard to play with and use.
So if you think you are up for the challenge and would like to be part of our team, we would love to hear from you.
Please send us:
1.                  Three recent layouts/projects that show us your style and talent and what you have to offer (preferably using chipboard, but not compulsory)
2.                  All links to personal blogs and galleries
3.                  Short Bio, telling us a bit about yourself, including any DT past or present and any other experience etc.
Applications close on June 15th and successful applicants will be notified soon after so that you can get started on your projects and be ready for the 1st of August.
Please send applications to Vanessa atsalesat2crafty@optusnet.com.au, marked DT Call.
 * Please make sure your photos are no bigger than 500kb each.

Good luck and we look forward to hearing from you.

Mini Wipeout

Features Fay's Flourish

This collage of photos were taken on one of our school holiday adventures in April.
A fun trip to a swim centre to enjoy the floating Wipe-out zone.

I had lots of fun with these chipboard pieces. They made the great waves for my page and framed the photos perfectly. I used two-tone inking in blue, some Kindy Glitz and a layer of Glossy Accents to finish off.

Scrapbook Savvy - Best On-line Retail Store around!

This month for my Manufacturer's Challenge I went back to an absolute favourite company of mine, Echo Park Paper Co. and added the little twist to use a journal block for the journaling.

Pretty easy challenge, create a page using at least 80% of Echo Park products, add the twist of a journal block and upload your page to the correct gallery by midnight May 31st to be eligible for some Savvy dollars to spend.

I've used more of Echo Park 'Note to Self' that Sar had sent to me for my DT kit in April and managed another page for my 52 week album. As you can see from the photos, our boy LOVES going to the Camping Show. He desperately wants his own caravan, so funny.

We are in the middle of our May Cybercrop at the moment over at the Scrapbook Savvy forum,
There are 3 great challenges to inspire you.

Jen's Quote Challenge
Tara's Product Challenge
and
My Sketch Challenge

I opted for the sketch challenge this weekend and created this to inspire you all

Photobucket

My page has been created using a photo taken on New Years Eve of one of my gorgeous nieces.

If you were lucky enough and quick enough, you may recognize the May Savvy Kit that was sold out just from sneaks on Facebook which prompted Sar and Sara to release another kit straight away.

Always dream big

Photobucket

I still have another page or two that I need to finish from this kit, once again stay tuned for more :)

Last month for our April Cybercrop I put together another one of my famous Puzzle Challenges.

Photobucket

My page was created using a photo of our boy and one of his cousins taken back in January.

Photobucket

Now that feels so much better, my Savvy posts are now up-to-date. PHEW!

There are two other pages I wanted to share that  I created a few weekends ago, I just grabbed some collections from Authentique and started playing.
Both pages have been created using sketches for inspiration and I just love both pages!

First page using sketch #203 from Creative Scrappers

Our handsome boy and his youngest cousin posing for the camera.

Photobucket

My other page was based on the May Sketch from Once Upon a Sketch Blog

A selfie of my boy and me, taken at the War Memorial in the city waiting for my Big Sis.

Photobucket

OK I think I have tortured everyone enough, yes I still have a few of my 52 week pages to share, but I think I will leave that for another time. I hope you have survived this epic journey.

I promise I will endeavour to make more time to update my blogs in the future :) and if I lapse again I give you all permission to poke me to remind me.
