Friday Features for June

See I am keeping my word, I will get this blog up to date!

So June was another month that just flew by, but I still enjoyed my creative time when I got the chance.
With working and a very active and sporty 13 year old, we rarely seem to sit still.

The two collections I chose for June from All About Scrapbooks were total opposites in colour and design, both fabulous in different ways.

My Minds Eye Hey Mister
A very masculine collection with muted colours black, grey and navy, but a pop of metallic really gave this collection it's place in the spotlight.

Jillibean Soup Healthy Hello
This collection was pretty and bright, very feminine. I loved having the navy and pink together, with plenty of elements to fussy cut and decorate my page. Think I might have to play a little more with this collection.

June did go very quickly, I think I a few extra pages created from May collections.
Thanks for dropping in, I hope you've been inspired to get some crafting done and look forward to you visiting again.

My Pages for May

Yes I am back, finally!
I just don't know where the time goes, but I am going to try and catch up on all of my work for the past few months.
I love designing for All About Scrapbooks, I have known Vanessa for a number of years and one day we will meet in person, but for now I hope to keep her busy by inspiring you to shop with this amazing business.

So here we go, what did I do towards the end of April and throughout May?
I created with some gorgeous collections all courtesy of and available from All About Scrapbooks.

Kaisercraft Wildflower Collection
A beautiful, feminine collection that allowed me to create with pinks and florals.
That doesn't happen very often. I'm thankful that I have such beautiful nieces and great nieces to photograph and be inspired by.

Fancy Pants Family & Co
The colours in this collection were still a little girlie, but were a lot brighter and richer.
I even managed a photo of my sister and I.

Bella Blvd - Let's Go
This collection was fun with the primary colours and bold patterns.
Normally a travel collection, but I found plenty of other ways to create with it.

The final collection for May was the Simple Stories Say Cheese 3
I loved this collection! More primary colors with lots of black, it was so easy to put my pages together.

Congratulations if you have made it this far!
I will endeavour to add my June creations in the next few days.
Remember for all of you scrapbooking needs, head over to All About Scrapbooks, the shop has an amazing variety of stock and is so well priced.
Thanks again for visiting, I hope you will drop by again.

Time for a catch up

I can't believe another month has passed since I've shared my All About Scrapbooks projects on my own blog. Talk about slack! It has been a crazy month with cross over of summer and winter sport for our nearly teenager plus a new school with plenty of homework.

Enough of the excuses, lets catch up the rest of March projects and then I can get started on April in a few days, the advantage of a few days holidays.

First up was the page 'Happiness Found' created using Echo Park Paper Co Jungle Safari. It was a visit to the Adelaide Zoo with my nieces and specifically near the Panda Enclosures.I did some fussy cutting to create some embellishments and a little stenciling in the background for effect.

Here are a few close-ups, a fussy cut Panda from my photos and the 2 Crafty Bamboo Stems painted with Distress Paints.

I used foam tape to lift a few of the cut outs to create more layers

Next up was a page 'Let Your Light Shine' using the final pieces of Jillibean Soup Hardy Hodgepodge . Photos were of school camp last year, some great memories for our boy. I went for a black background for something different and loved how the colours popped.

2 Crafty chipboard was the feature on this page with the title Let your light shine and Aidens Arrows covered with Distress Paints and Dimensional Magic.

Well that's March wrapped up, I will be back soon with the first few weeks of April.
Thanks for visiting my blog and be sure to check out All About Scrapbooks for your shopping needs.

All About Scrapbooks Friday Shares

Thought I should catch up on posting here on my blog.
I have two pages to share with you today from my Friday posts on All About Scrapbooks

I'll show you yesterday's page first using the very cool Jillibean Soup collection
Love the colours in this collection,
it's the perfect male colour palette and nice and bright.

Here are a few close ups of the background work and the 2Crafty chipboard

The other page was from the previous Friday and was actually a double page spread.
Too many photos to squeeze into a 12x12
This page features a mixture of two Echo Park Paper collections

A few close up snaps of the chipboard creatures and fussy cutting

So that's a little of what I have been doing over the past two weeks.
Also been playing in my art journal, I will share a few of those pages soon.
Thanks for your visit, catch ya soon.

This Face @ All About Scrapbooks

Well hello out there, happy Friday to you all.

Today I am thrilled to share my very first project for All About Scrapbooks and every Friday morning you can find me here or over at All About Scrapbooks Blog sharing my latest creation and generally hanging out.

My first reveal I have started with what I know best. Yes it's all about our boy!

The colours in Jillibean Soup 'Hardy Hodgepodge' were the big attraction for me.
Totally suited the gorgeous photo and our boy's cheery disposition.

The matching Pea Pod Parts in the collection made embellishing the page so easy.
I've doodled in random places with a black pen, added some dimension using plenty of foam
and you will hopefully spot the touches of diamond Stickles

The title, of course, is chipboard and 2 Crafty all the way.
This face makes my heart smile It was gessoed, embossed with a script stamp
and then painted using metallic paint.I decided to split the title into two pieces to balance my page.

Thanks for visiting today, see you next week

Awesome News!!

Hello out there!
I'm back!

You may not have noticed me missing, but I took a little break from scrapbooking and spent most of my creative time doing some art journalling. Although I've had a heap of fun making a mess in my book and will happily continue to do so, I am excited to share with you that I will be joining the Design Team for All About Scrapbooks from March 1st.

Here I am here
