Savvy September Ad Challenge

I can't believe how far behind I am posting things this month.
Could have something to do with DS taking ownership of the computer!!!
Thankfully tonight he has fallen asleep early, gotta love Kindy, by the end of the week he is exhausted.
Anyway enough complaining, I love this months Ad.
I couldn't wait to give it a go. Circles always look fabulous on a page!!
There are already some fabulous pages in the gallery, but hope anyone dropping by will give it a try. Upload to www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au gallery by midnight September 30th.

Where does the time go?

I can't believe it has been 6 weeks since I have updated my blog.
I feel a little ashamed, very naughty of me!
I have got so much to catch up on, so this will be one very long update.
Best grab yourself a coffee and snack, cause you are going to be here awhile!!

New role
After a 4 week DT search contest over at SCRaPDANGo http://scrapdango.net/ I am excited to announce I was asked to join the team as the Newsletter Editor/DT member.
My first kit to play with was the glorious Sugar Kit for September which included the stunning papers from Piggytales Itsy Bitsy Spider collection.

I have also included a sketch to go along with my layouts.

My take on the August 123 Challenge

Well when I spotted this month's criteria, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Renee Dowling had challenged us in July over at Scrapbook Savvy to take some self portraits being a bit silly.
Well I completed the challenge, just didn't get it loaded to the gallery.
So to refresh your memory the criteria for this month is,

1. Bling
2. Self Portrait
3. Use more than 5 colours

How perfect is the Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine papers for the colour side of things!!
So I had a bit of fun with this and believe me' There is nothing sweet about' this girl LOL!!

Scrapbook Savvy August Ad Challenge

This Ad grabbed my attention straight away, it's full, it's messy, basically everything I love in a page! It can be both very 'macho' masculine, you now the whole grunge thing or very 'Shabby Chic' feminine, with trims, fabric and lots of flowers.
I think the possibilities with this Ad are endless, you could even go with the candy theme and scrap your 'can't go without' treat.
Remember as always, there is no wrong or right way to interpret this Ad, look at it and start!!
You have until Midnight August 31st to upload it to the gallery at http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/ to be in the running for some Prima goodies.

2CC August Kit & Review

The August kit is another great kit put together by the Cousinz.
Presenting Scenic Route Grafton in all of it's glory.
The colors are gorgeous – teal, turquoise, rust, orange, yellow and red.
While they may scream beach and summer, they are also suitable for many other themes.
There are 7 sheets of beautiful quality double sided pattern papers.

The kit also includes Dream Street Birdie Bits Die Cuts and Square Chipboard.
These pieces match nicely with the Grafton.
The three colors of Bazzill Basics textured cardstock included in the kit are so vibrant and match perfectly with the pattern papers.
This kit is jam packed with loads of embellishments, a sampling of Doodlebug Tangerine Silk Flowers and Bazzill Bling Bradsin 3 different colours. Some fabulous rub-ons from Fancy Pants, arrow chipboard pieces from Magistical Memories, and a few pieces of some gorgeous ribbon.
To top of this beautiful kit, some fun etsy scalloped "Good Time" tags and Kelly's awesome handmade tags.
The add on to complement this kit is a must!!
Scenic Route Grafton Chipboard, Orange Stickles, Me & My Big Ideas Rhinestone Circles, Doodlebug Limeade Stickers, and Fancy Pants About A Boy Ribbon round out the kit perfectly.

I had previously played with some of these papers for a GDT spot last month and loved every moment.
To see a few more pages in the range was amazing and once again I had heaps of fun creating,

Guest Addict Counselor for July

How lucky was to be able to work with this awesome range from Scenic Route.
The Grafton collection was a pleasure to scrap with and so well co-ordinated. I loved having the double sided paper to play with, it gave me so many choices when putting my layouts together. The embellishments included in the kit were divine!!
Scenic Route chipboard circles, Tim Holtz Pins, Fasteners and Tags, Reminisce Rub-Ons American Craft Thickers and the Bo-Bunny chipboard. You couldn't want for more!!

Head over to www.addictedscrappers.com to check it out and while you are there Susannah has just listed a limited release Scenic Route Appleton Kit, beautiful bright colours.

Here is what I created from the kit, 3 layouts and a Scrapware frame,
