August 123 update

Well I have finally gotten around to finishing my page for the challenge.
And it's not that I didn't like the challenge, in fact it would be my favourite criteria for awhile.
Life has just been so busy the past week or so, family birthdays and working extra days, takes its toll.

So here it is,
Metal embellishments are Alpha brads, eyelets and 'Laugh' tag.
I have used the staples to attach the journal tags.

Savvy August Ad Challenge

I really love this month's Ad challenge, it has everything a scrapper could ask for to create a fabulous page.
It includes a technique if you dare to try it, the possibility of 6 photos and there is lots of space to play and for a bonus twist this month, anyone who does this challenge using any Kaisercraft papers, their name will be entered into a random draw for a RAK from me and my RAK's are usually very generous!!
The more entries, the more stash will appear in the RAK.

Check out the new Kaisercraft collections in-store here

Remember to upload your entries to the correct gallery by Midnight August 31st to be in the running for one of Sar's beautiful Savvy Surprise and the opportunity to score a RAK from me.

ENJOY!!

Savvy's August DT review

I was lucky enough to receive Kaisercraft Duchess this month with some gorgeous matching embellishments. And if that wasn't enough, Sar added some of the divine glitter Thickers from American Craft. I love blue and brown together and the 'Olde World' feel to these papers worked beautifully with some of my sepia photos.
I didn't head down the vintage page road, instead I decided to highlight their masculine capabilities and was really happy with the result.
You will find this awesome collection in-store at Scrapbook Savvy here http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=134_424_665

This month's criteria is very simple and gives you an opportunity to use some of those 'not so good' photos.

1. Use some type of metal on the LO {eg: buckle, label holder, tin, etc}
2. Out of focus photo
3. Use of at least 5 staples

Complete your layout by the last day of August for your chance to win some FANTASTIC prizes!!!

Email your entires to challenge_123@hotmail.com

My take on this challenge is on it's way!

Scrap the Boys August Challenge

This month we would like you to pull out those photos of your boys with food…they could be cooking, eating, harvesting…whatever as long as food is involved it qualifies.

The second criteria for the challenge is to use a cooking term in your title…here are some ideas…stir, steam, whip, beat, heat, pipe, knead, cut, chop…etc. And if you can't think of anything, pop Chef in there somewhere :)
Email your entries here susan.longman@bigpond.com by the August 31st to be in the running for some fabulous prizes.

This is what I came up with for the challenge,
