Guest Addict Counselor for July

How lucky was to be able to work with this awesome range from Scenic Route.
The Grafton collection was a pleasure to scrap with and so well co-ordinated. I loved having the double sided paper to play with, it gave me so many choices when putting my layouts together. The embellishments included in the kit were divine!!
Scenic Route chipboard circles, Tim Holtz Pins, Fasteners and Tags, Reminisce Rub-Ons American Craft Thickers and the Bo-Bunny chipboard. You couldn't want for more!!

Head over to www.addictedscrappers.com to check it out and while you are there Susannah has just listed a limited release Scenic Route Appleton Kit, beautiful bright colours.

Here is what I created from the kit, 3 layouts and a Scrapware frame,

A secret to share!!

From late April until the end of June, I have been playing in a 10 week contest over at http://www.addictedscrappers.com/
I had a ball during the contest, unfortunately another bridesmaid finish, but some beautiful pages to share with you.

The secret?? Susannah (Queen Addict) from Addicted Scrappers has asked me to be their Guest Addict Counselor, which I gladly accepted.
I will share my creations with you shortly, the kit was fabulous and very generous!!

Here are my pages from the contest "Last Addict Standing", the first page was our choice of a favourite page.

This last challenge we had to look around our home and find something that inspired us.
I decided to use this piece of paper towel,

My first tagging!!

My first tagging courtesy of Diane. I nearly forgot about it, sorry Diane.

So here's what happens.
You answer questions about yourself, then at the end of your post, tag 4 other people, leaving a message on their blog to say they've been tagged.
And also let the person who tagged you know that you've answered their questions.

So here's the questions:
Question 1: Ten years ago.......I was single again!!
After 2 years of trying to resolve our differences, I finally realized my marriage was over.
We had grown apart, both taking different paths in life.
It was very daunting, taking on a mortgage on my own and not having anyone to kill the spiders, but I made it!!

Question 2: Five things on todays 'to do' list: Finish the washing and wash the floors.
Start a few of the Savvy July monthly challenges. Go bra shopping, I desperately need some new ones. Re-make the guest bed, after my girlfriend stayed over to look after Harry.
Thanks Cattie!!

Question 3: Snacks I enjoy: Turkish Delights top my list. Don't mind dry biscuits and dips.

Question 4: Things I would do if I was a millionaire: I am pretty happy with what I have, but I would pay off my family members mortgages and our of course, then set-up a really cool scrap room!! And would be happy not to work anymore!!

Question 5: Places I have lived: Port Augusta, Seaton. Mansfield Park, Kidman Park, Birkenhead, Reynella and South Plympton.

and so I tag: Jess C (2CC), Kylie, Vic (lola-V) and Renee (2CC)

Hope you'll play along.

Scrapbook Savvy July Ad challenge

This month's Ad I have chosen for it's simplicity.
Lots of 'White Space' on the page or it could be room for you to add your personal touch.
My sample started of simple, but I am sure you all know me well enough by now, so lets just say I have added my own style to it.
Anyway you know the drill, use this how you like.
Will it be a page plan for you, do you like the colours or could we see a page about your love for coffee?? Take it where it needs to go and have fun with it.

Here is my creation, I had some fun with this, I liked my bubbles!!

2CC July Kit and Review

Please give a BIG round of applause for the 2CC JULY KIT, this month the kit is filled with the beautiful double sided papers from Tinkering Ink Alfresco collection.

Photobucket

You will find a gorgeous blend of pink, orange and green, with a variety of shades ranging from very strong pinks to more subtle mint green.
The papers have a perfect balance of large and small patterns to create with and included some solid plain matching colours.

I have to be honest with you all, when I first discovered what was in this month’s kit, I was a little rattled. I mean, what was this ‘Boy Scrapper’ from Aus going to do with all this pink!! And it was my month to review the kit.
But not wanting to be beaten, I patiently awaited the kits arrival.

When it turned up on my doorstep, I slowly opened the box and laid it out on the table. Still a little scared I might say, but I wanted to tackle head on!!
WELL, to my amazement and joy, these papers just came together so easily.
They were a dream to put together and only left me wanting more.
It is a fabulous range, one I feel I have given a good nudge.

You will receive 7 sheets of well weighted DOUBLE-SIDED patterned paper.
You will find awesome fresh designs on both sides of the papers.
Some papers include similar patterns on both sides, but they are different sizes for the perfect co-ordination.
The Bazzill cardstock is a great match in 2 different colours and the kit also includes a sheet of Bazzill Bling-Diva, very apt for this range.

The embellishments with this kit are beyond words and generous in quantity.
Imagination Project Alpha Rub-ons in pink, they are very easy to use and have plenty of letters. Next the Making Memories stunning Animal Crackers Ella Felt Shapes, these are just way too cute and a great variety is included in the kit.
My favourite piece in the kit, a sheet of the fabulous Hambly Studio 12x12 Overlay.
The possibilities for this Overlay are endless, check out the DT gallery for plenty of ideas. The We R Memory Keepers Gromlets match beautifully with the papers and are very easy to use. I loved using the Autumn Leaves - Heather Bailey Freshcut Die-cut Flourishes, a perfect inclusion with the floral patterns on the papers.
As usual, the ribbons finished the kit off nicely.

But wait, there was an extra treat included in this already fabulous kit.
Something you would never have seen before and were there debut appearance.
Alicia Barry Designs presents to you the STUNNING handmade Butterflies.
They are 3 dimensional and entirely made from hand, they are exceptional!!
Check them out here for more details,

The Kit Add-On this month is the ideal addition to these papers;
The Imaginisce Pink Blossom Brads are lovely as flower centres or directly attached to your layout. I fell in love with the Heidi Swapp Gel Blossoms – Kiwi and combined them with my flowers for extra depth on the page and the Me & My Big Ideas Fresh Blooms Rub-Ons were also easy to apply and matched really well with the collection.

So don’t just stand there reading, if you haven’t already, you need to head over to www.2croppincousinz.com and purchase this must have beautifully co-ordinated brightly coloured kit.
Trust me; you will not regret it for a moment. ENJOY!!

I had so much using this kit, I decided this girl can do PINK!!
This is what I came up with,
