SCRaPDANGo January Kit mid-month reveal
I was lucky enough to have the Sugar Kit arrive on my door step earlier this month and would have to tell you this is one of my absolute favourites.
And not surprising at all, both of the awesome kits this month are SOLD OUT!
I should mention the Spice Kit was just as divine, I would have been happy to receive either of them.
So here they are:
Spice Kit- My Mind's Eye Dreamy 2 Brilliant
And
Sugar Kit - Crate Paper Prudence
Here are a few pages I have done.
The double page "Meeting the Boss" (well sort of), was created from a project I was involved with at SCRaPDANGo last year.
A sturdy card cut-out of a our wonderful boss lady Carrie, was sent around the globe to visit forum members and see the sites. We entertained her for a few days, taking photos with her and then sent a postcard back from each destination.
I thought it would be a fun memory to scrap.
And here is my little man giving it everything he's got trying to whistle. Just love his spirit!
I will have more to reveal to you shortly, a fabulous Maya Road Album and another page, so stay tuned. I LOVE this kit!!

Crowned Contest @ SCRaPDANGo
SCRaPDANGo is celebrating 3 years, and we are doing it in style again with our very own “Crowned Pageant” contest.
Okay, have you heard of the CW’s new show “Crowned?”…..Well if you haven’t you can come check out our version of “Crowned” ScrapDango style!
Come join us for 4 weeks of Crowned Competition ScrapDango style!
There will be weekly pageant competition challenges that will challenge your creativity. Each week someone will be SASHED Princess of Scrapdango. (Prizes involved too!)
Is there a catch….well of course…it wouldn’t be fun if there wasn’t a catch.
NO ONE gets sent home. You all have to live/scrap and experience PAGEANT LIFE with each other for the 4 weeks for the month of February.
You will be competing for points. Each week the DT will award points 1-10 for each contestant’s creation. The contestant with the most points at the end of the competition goes home with an awesome prize package! (Including a Guest Design Spot that includes a full kit)
If you are lucky enough to be SASHED, you will be getting some extra goodies along the way as well. The DT will choose one contestant who was the favorite for that week to be “Sashed.” You may only win this one time during the compettion.
There will be other challenges along the way as well, such as scavenger hunts, posting challenges, games, etc. These are voluntary, but they do help you to accumulate more points. The weekly pageant challenges are mandatory.
The only way you will be de-sashed and leave the Pageant is if you fail to do the weekly challenges. We at SCRaPDANGo want this contest to be a little different. We want to get to know our existing members better and to make some new members in the process.
To play you must visit the forums, say hello and register in the Official sign up“Crowned” Thread. So toss in some makeup, an evening gown, and bathing suit, along with your scrappin bags and pick your bedroom in the Crowned House here at ScrapDango!

January Ad Challenge @ Savvy
The first challenge for the year and I have chosen a very uniform Ad to tackle.
It has loads of design potential, maybe a collage type page or colour blocking.
It is totally up to you!
Head over to www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au to check out the other DT challenges as well.
Both Julie and Mel have come up with some fabulous challenges this month.
And for anyone enthusiastic enough to complete all 3 challenges, will go into a random draw for a fabulous RAK from me.
So pull out your tools and get that mojo happening.

2CC first kit for 2009
And it was ROCKIN!!!
You would think with the pink and flowers, this little black duck would have cowered into the corner.
I admit when I originally seen the snippets of the kit, I was a little concerned.
But there was no reason to worry, the true beauty of this kit could only ever be understood IRL. The Basic Grey collection Urban Praire was just awesome to work with and I found myself having to stop pulling photos out.
I realized there was only so much this kit could physically do.
The colour combination is just perfect, the rich pinks and teals just leap off the page, but then add the softness of the pale yellows and greens....all I can say is WOW!!
The lovely ladies Amy and Kelly from 2CC have put together another STUNNING kit, it is so versatile, your pages can include the whole family.
But don't take my word for it, head over to the gallery to check out the finest DT work you are ever going to lay your eyes on. The girls have done amazing things with this kit

Check out the delicious goodies that come with this kit,
I really loved working with this kit and have a collection of beautiful pages to share,

$20 voucher to spend at Love Scrappin'
Third Prize (decided by random draw)
$15 voucher to spend at Scrapbooking from Scratch
This is what a came up with, just loved the brick background on the banner and the grunge feel to things.
I had the perfect photo that I had taken a few weeks ago.

I found the brick photo doing a goggle search and then printed it onto cardstock, I am stoked with the end result.
Hope you can play along each month.

Happy New Year!!
The beginning of another year and this year will be a biggy!
Lots of things to look forward to and enjoy.
We had a ball at my sisters house on New Years Eve, my brother-in-law is always so well organised. We have nicknamed him the Events Co-Ordinator for the family!
After having NYE at our house last year, with not a single firework in the area that we could see!! A family vote was taken and it was decided my sisters house was the best venue for this celebration.
There is a guy down the street that kindly shares an awesome fireworks display for us.
After a beautiful BBQ, we did our Kris Kringle with Ma and Pa and then my sister whipped out the Playstation Singstar and we tested our her new Abba sing along.
We think we were awesome!! But the rest of the family disagree. They obviously don't have an ear for talent LOL!!!
When the clock struck 12 Midnight, we all headed outside with poppers, sparklers and cameras in hand to celebrate the New Year.
And so here we are, another year has started.
The question was asked at SCRaPDANGo, what word will you try to live by this year.
The word I have chosen is TOLERANCE!
Something I really need to do a lot better, with everything I do.
Just gotta love PICASA's upgrade to their collage part of the program.

Merry Christmas to all!!
OK the last 2 weeks are just a blur, can some-one please tell me where they went!!
We had a wonderful Christmas day, definately a lot quieter than normal, but still fabulous.
Mum and Dad travelled to QLD this year to spend it with the girls, so it was just Shane, Harry and myself opening pressies at 6 am.
Harry just loves everything about christmas, the lights, the paper and of course the presents.
We headed out to Shane's Mums, for a hot lunch. She always does an amazing job and it is delicious. Takes us ages to load the car with Harry's haul.
Dinner this year was at home, with my brother & family and my sister and Co.
The weather was beautiful, we had some seafood, cold meats and salad. Just perfect!
