SCRaPDANGo's Blog Hop - Final Day

Okay, this is it.
The final day of the Scrapdango Progressive Blog Hop.
Today we have an altered item progressive recipe challenge for you.

If you have made it this far, you should now have five ingredients to use on your Altered project. You are almost ready to start creating, remember you will need to include all 6 of the recipe components (we'll call them) that you find from each of the DT members' blogs.
You can include anything else you want to on the altered item as well.

The final ingredient for your Altered Item is:

BLING

I thought I would start to get ready for the festive season, so my Altered Item is a Countdown Calender from Kaisercraft. I have used papers from Fancy Pants Christmas Magic, they were perfect for the color component of the challenge. Plenty of sanded and inked edges, the back of the tree has been painted and embossed and as you can see, there is plenty of bling.

You have everything you need now to start your project.
I can't wait to see what you create!
Remember to post a link in a comment left on the Scrapdango blog, or head to the Scrapdango forum to earn your draw for the fabulous prize!
Everything must be completed by Midnight on Monday night!
Good luck and get crafting!

Blog Hop Day Two

Welcome back !

It is day 2 of our progressive blog hop at SCRaPDANGo.
Today, we have a layout progressive recipe challenge for you.
So for this challenge, you will again have to go to each DT member's blog to learn an item that you need to add to a layout. Each DT member chose an item that is a favorite of theirs to use in scrapping, so you will learn a little bit more about each DT member as you gather the items as well. You must include each of the 6 DT members' favorite items on your layout in addition to anything else you want to add. Your layout is due by Monday, November 16th by Midnight EST to be counted as a draw toward the prize of one of Scrapdango's awesome monthly kits. You can upload your layout in the comments sections of the Scrapdango Blog or on the forums in the Progressive Blog Hop section.

By now you should have five ingredients for your layout.
Most of you could probably guess what item I have chosen to add to the recipe, so without further delay.......

Chipboard!!!

There would not be many pages of mine that do not feature this amazing product in some way and you know how much I love to alter it.
My page today features some of my favorite techniques too, some crackle paint and embossing powder.

I get LOST in those eyes

Lets get hopping!

Welcome to your final stop of Scrapdangos weekend Blog Hop for today.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, you'll find all the details on the Scrapdango blog!

We have recently announced our new Fall 09/Spring 10 design team over at Scrapdango and to welcome them and give you all a chance to get to know them better, we decided to do a blog hop.
This is a progressive blog hop, which means that as you progress through each of the new design team member's blogs, you will learn one piece of a recipe challenge that you will have to include on a card, layout or altered item.

Today, we have a DANGOS card recipe challenge for you.

You should by now have 5 ingredients for your card, mine will be the final ingredient.
You will have to include each of the 6 items on your card (you can have additional items) and then provide a link to your card in the Scrapdango blog comments section and/or on the Scrapdango forum.

For each challenge you complete, you get 1 draw for the prize of one of Scrapdango's awesome kits chock full of scrappy goodness. Your projects for the all of the challenges are due by Monday, November 16th at Midnight EST.

Remember to leave a comment here for an extra draw towards the Dango Kit.

The final ingredient for you card is

S is for...Stamping

Here is my example that I did including all 6 items.
I have used a stamp on the front to create my title and then used a splash background stamp to create a pattern on the card.

Scrappin up a storm @ Savvy

This month I was lucky enough to showcase the fabulous collection for Teresa Collins - Sports Edition. It was a match made in heaven! Just love the colour combination of Black, Red, White and Cream.
My son has been very busy the past few months with Athletics and his first school sports day, so there was no shortage of photos to work with.
You can have a closer look at the collection here but be quick!
Some other fabulous products featured on my projects are Tim Holtz Swivel Clasps and Delish Biscuit board letter.

Giving it your all

Scapbook Savvy first kit release!

Yes you read correctly!
Sar, Sara and Lisa have been working hard to put together 3 different kits to release each month, subscription first and then released on the first of each month, if availible.
There will be a He's Savvy, She's Savvy and a neutral kit We're Savvy each month.
The first kits are just gorgoues, but sadly for some of you, the We're Savvy has already sold out.
Check them out here

Scrapbook Savvy Challenge Rebirth

Over at Scrapbook Savvy this month a few of the DT girls have changed what challenges they will be doing. Hopefully the change will give your more inspiration to get scrapping.

Sara will still be doing her Random Challenge but has the add twist of making it based around the gorgeous new 'He', 'She' and 'We' kits we have at Savvy, check them out here

Her November challenge is:
1. Distressing
2. Multi photo (2 or more)
3. Embellishment cluster

Using at least 75% of the kit to create your page.

Lisa will continue selecting awesome sketches each month, check out November's here

Kayla is bringing a Colour Challenge to Savvy each month and November colours are perfect to start things off.

Emma has started doing a monthly challenge and has decided on the 54321 format, stay tuned for her first set of criterias.

And then there is me 8)
I have thoroughly enjoyed doing my monthly Ad challenge, but thought it was time to take a step in another direction. Hopefully everyone will be happy to play along.
Each month I will be issuing the girls at Savvy a challenge about themselves.

Kerryn's 'All About Me' challenge will help us all to capture/document the little things about ourselves that may mean a lot to our kids or family in years to come.
I am hoping it will encourage you all to make this an important part of your scrapping.

So for the very first challenge. I thought I would start things of simple.
I want you to scrap at least 5 random facts about yourself that people may not know.
Like, 'I hate touching raw meat' or 'I need to wear socks when I sleep'
These may seem very unimportant facts, but if tomorrow you lost all ability to communicate, these points would be enormous.

It all sounds a bit melodramatic, but you are important and future generations should know everything about you, well maybe not everything, but that too could be a challenge of the future.

This is my take on the challenge:

November 09 Scrap the Boys Challenge

Take inspiration from this children's rhyme to create your page.

What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails
and puppy-dogs tails...

Email your entry by the last day of the month to: susan.longman@bigpond.com

Harrison's fascination with worms was the first thing that came to my mind for this challenge!

November '09' 123 Challenge

This month Charm had a brilliant idea to mix things up at 123.
In co-hoots with Sara from Stuck?! Sketches they have decided to combine November Stuck sketches with the 123 challenge criterias.
Which means MORE chance of winning {6 PRIZES UP FOR GRABS!!}
So the criteria is as follows:
1. Use a November Stuck?! Sketch {there are two - one uploaded on the 1st, one uploaded on the 15th}
2. Use a baby/pregnancy photo {seeing as Sara and Charm have both just had bubs!}
3. Use a diecut on your layout

YOU MUST EMAIL US YOUR LAYOUTS AT: challenge_123@hotmail.com
by Midnight November 30th & MAKE SURE YOU JOIN AND UPLOAD YOUR LAYOUTS TO STUCK SKETCHES TOO!!!

My sample for the challenge is using the November 1st Stuck Sketch
