WOW September Challenge - Recipe
Are you up for another challenge?
This month over on the WOW Blog the new challenge is to create a layout based on this recipe!
This is the page I created for the challenge
Soaking up the sun
I've used the New Wave border as my one piece of chipboard, but decided to cut it into 2 pieces to suit my page. The chipboard has been inked in layers of different shades of blue, the tops of the waves have been embossed with white embossing powder and then highlighted with Chrystallina Kindy Glitz.
The final coat is my favourite finish, Glossy Accents.
To enter, simply upload your take on the challenge to your blog, then add it to the linky over on the WOW Blog you can link your blog post direct from here! Remember to use the actual url of your post, not your blog home page.
Entries close midnight, Saturday 20 October 2012. Looking forward to seeing your tak on things. We can't wait to see your layouts!

Scrapbook Savvy September DT Share
Good morning scrappers, hope you are enjoying your Sunday morning.
I did start this post yesterday, but somehow clicked in the wrong spot and lost the lot, so I gave up.
The new day brings another attempt, hopefully I will be a little more successful.
*Warning - Long post ahead* :)
The following pages were created last weekend at the best ever Savvy Delights Retreat. I had such an amazing time with people I adore. A huge thank you to Sarah Ward for once again being chauffeur and letting me stay with her gorgeous family for 2 nights. It is always very much appreciated, you are such a beautiful sole xxx Thanks also to her husband Dan for putting up with me, you are a saint!
While away, Sarah provided me with 2 stunning packages of products, filled to the brim with papers and embellishments.
Both gorgeous and both very different.
First package cracked open was the now sold out We're Savvy Kit.
It was bursting with gorgeous papers and embellishments from Bella Blvd, MME and Simple Stories. Also included were some yummy co-ordinating Washi Tapes and Twines.
Now I should also point out with all of the Bella Blvd products in the kits released this month at the retreat, it gives you plenty of products to enter my Manufacturer Challenge over on the Scrapbook Savvy forum that finishes up midnight 30th September. Hope to see a few entries :)
Cute Little Lion
This is my gorgeous niece from Brisbane who is just an absolute joy to be around.
Harrison just adores her. The colours in the photo were perfect for the kit.
Can you see me
These are photos snapped of Harrison at our recent Royal Show, oh how he loves anything Army.
Once again the photos matched well with the papers, love it when that happens.
Searching for some bright colours to keep me awake on the first night, I decided to start on parcel number two. One of my favourite companies Jillibean Soup and their beautiful collection, Grandma's Lima Bean Soup. I love the different patterns they use for their papers, such a great variety and they all come together so beautifully.
Happy Snaps
These photos were taken on Mother's Day this year by my wonderful partner. We are definitely making more of an effort to get special snaps on both Mother's and Father's day. So glad I had decided to print them in B&W as the bright colours of this collection really do help them to stand out.
Cousins
Love this photo of the younger cousins from our recent trip to Brisbane, even if Miss Rosie is doing her best impression of a cat's bum!! Can you tell which ones are sisters LOL! Harrison misses them terribly and can not wait to head back up there.
I spy a Lil' Somethin' flower there put to good use too.
Well if you have survived until the end I thank you for your patience and for dropping in to the blog.
Have a fabulous day!

More WOW to share
Back again with 2 more pages to share with you from my featured week over on the Words Or Whatever Blog. As always, I am having a ball playing with this fabulous chipbopard
Who could resist that SMILE
A gorgeous photo of my nephew and his beautiful daughter taken at Easter time which was also his birthday.
I have used 2 pieces of WOW chippie, the title 'Who could resist that SMILE' and the Filigree Butterfly.
I loved being able to chop the title and split it on the page.
I loved the finish look of the butterfly
Here is the finished page
It's a pirates life for me
This is my very own pirate on his birthday, he looked so cool!!
The featured pieces of chipboard from WOW are the Pirate Pack, the Skull 2 Pack and the Classic Alphabet in Uppercase was used for the title. All perfect pieces to complete the page.
Really happy with this page, one of my favourites.
Thanks for visiting, I will be back tomorrow with more to share.

September New Release @ WOW
Evening All!
Thought I should catch up with my blogging over the next few days after a fabulous weekend away retreating. Tonight I have 2 pages to share with you that showcase the very cool new chipboard by WOW.
Both pages are very masculine and showcase one of my son's favourite things.
The chipboard was the perfect addition to both pages.
The first page features the Barbed Wire Coil and the group of soldiers from the Soldier Pack.
WOW1604 BARBED WIRE COIL
|
WOW1602 SOLDIER PACK
|
Totally cool stuff
My next page showcases more of the very cool Soldier chipboard and some fancy corner pieces.
The boots and Rifle have been inked in layers to give them the Army look.
The corners have been left naked.
WOW1615E FLOURISH CORNERS 2
|
You will also spot an old favourite, the Barbed Wire Border (C1503)
The title has been created using the Classic Alphabet Lowercase (C1385)

Sharing my week over at WOW
So far I have featured 2 pages over on the WOW Blog, lots of chipboard goodness to inspire you all.
Hope you can drop in for a visit.
Hope you can drop in for a visit.
A wedding page to start the week, my Nephew's wedding.
The chipboard Vintage Horse Drawn Carriage (WOW1591) was the perfect starting point. I love that it is the back of the carriage. I have coloured the chipboard using both ink and pens.
It has some doodling using a metallic gold pen and then I have finished off with some glossy accents.
The background effect on the cardstock has been created using the 12x12 AltaMATZ Pattern 1 (ALTO010) and some Mr Hueys White Colour Mist.
Such a {perfect}day
Next page shows off my gorgeous boy.The photos were taken on a camping trip last October a
I have used a number of WOW chipboard pieces in different ways, but think they all work well together.
- Title 'I love you the the moon and back' (WOW1539)
I have used Chrystallina Kindy Glitz to higlight the 'I love you' part of the title. 'To the moon and back' has been inked using three shades of blue to graduate from light to dark, simple blending that has a fabulous impact.
- Clock (WOW1512)
Inked using Pinecone Versa Ink
- Stars from the Rocket & Space Set (WOWC449) have been left bare.
I love you TO THE MOON AND BACK
Thanks for visiting my blog
