It seems a little strange to us Aussies, but all the American children are about to head back to school. So over at Scrapdango we are once again running our month long contest to celebrate it.

Retreat Share
Well today is the first day I have seen sunshine since I arrived back in Adelaide.
It has been real polar bear weather the past few days. Spring can not arrive quick enough.
So I have been able to take some photos of my pages. I still need to journal on most of the layouts, but at least you can see I was creating stuff while I was away.
Relaxing in the sun
Mr Cranky Pants
This next page won the kit challenge No. 5 at the retreat and was rewarded with a beautiful Kaisercraft pack. Thanks to all the girls for voting, very humbling!
What a goose
Play all day
It hurts Mummy
Climber
And this gorgeous page was created by the lovely Kelley F from Savvy in our photo swap. Thanks Kelley, I love it!
Clean fun
I still have some pages to finish off with titles and photos, so there will be more to come.

Savvy Delights Retreat
What an absolute amazing time I had over the weekend!! I can't believe it is all over for this year.
A very BIG thank you to San and especially to Sar, for all of your hard work to put this weekend together. I hope you know how much it was appreciated and enjoyed.
I left Adelaide about 11.00am on Thursday after reading with Harrison at school.
It was raining when we took off, but not long in the sky and this was the view.
I got a peek of Wollongong from the air before landing in Sydney
I sat and read a book for the first time in about 6 years while I waited for Miss Sara to arrive from the Gold Coast. I have known this beautiful girl, on and off, for about 3 years. It was fabulous to finally meet her IRL. And I picked her straight away!
We grabbed our hire car and headed to Wollongong. I was a little nervous driving in Sydney but we managed just fine. We stopped off at KFC for some dinner where we were met by the amazing pair of Sar and Donna. I could not believe I was finally looking at these gorgeous girls and meeting with Sar, totally awesome experience.
We headed to Tahmoor on Friday, the retreat was held at Kiah Ridge Conference Centre and there we scrapped until Sunday lunch time.
I was stoked to be sitting next to Anthea and Kel, 2 beautiful and talented girls!!
I loved every single moment, well worth it and it was mind-blowing to meet all of the super talented ladies.
Thank you for making me feel like I belonged!
Here are some snaps that were taken from the weekend.
Our group shot
Scrapbook Savvy's awesome Design Team finally together!!
All of the Savvy chickies, minus Ezz (not sure where she went)
Part of the amazing 2 Crafty team
You should have seen the look on this girls face when we met, absolutely hilarious!!
You are a star Wendy!!
And I was so happy to finally talk to Kel from Tamworth, hopefully that will continue.
So, all in all, a very cool weekend, loads of new friends and awesome to see everyone's scrapping IRL. I miss you all already!! Until we meet again, 'see ya' in the forum.
And before I go, Sar you ROCK!!!!! Thank you for looking after me xx
I finished up doing 12 pages and will add them to my blog when we finally get some sunshine here in Adelaide.

2 Crafty reveal - Hot Air Balloons
I loved playing with the 2 Crafty Hot Air Balloon and I finally managed to snap some suitable pictures of Harrison at the local playground. I dismantled one hot air balloon to use for dimension on the other balloon, added some patterned paper, doodled a little with my gold pen and finished it off with some glossy accents. Gives my page a bit of lift, pardon the pun!
Also used one of the gorgeous 2 Crafty Decorative borders called Fluer which has ben inked and stamped.
Here is a close-up of the balloon for you,
And this is my finished page,
How's the air up there

2 Crafty Technique using Olive Tree
Morning to all!
It was my turn to share a technique over at 2 Crafty on Friday August 20th while I was away in Sydney. Thankfully, Miss Anthea had taught me to schedule my posts, what a life saver she is.
The technique I have shown over at the 2 Crafty Blog is one of my all-time favourites and was originally taught to me by the very talented Rachelle Minett.
This technique can be a bit messy, but I always love the end result.

2 Crafty reveal
Well I have been busy again playing with chipboard, such a hard life......NOT!!
I am in my element!
Pulled out my water colour pencils and went back to my childhood days. I was never very good with colouring in, but these pencils are fabulous cause adding water seems to hide your mistakes LOL!!
Anyways I had fun doing this piece, love how it has turned out.
Head over to the Blog to add your comment for the draw.

My secrets out!!
I have been sitting on this secret for the past 5 days and it has been tough!
But I can let it all out now as it was announced today here.
Did you see it?? How awesome is that!!
Does this give it away
I have been asked to join the team @ Bella Blvd for the next 4 months and I am just over the moon.
Poor DS thought I had seen the most gigantic spider on Thursday when I was checking my emails, I screamed so loud.
I can't wait to get started on my new journey and hope you will join me for the ride

My first post on 2 Crafty Blog
I am so excited to be a part of the 2 Crafty Design Team and I have been looking forward to getting creative with the chipboard. It is my turn today to give everyone a little inspiration to go & grab some 2 Crafty chippie and start creating something fabulous.
I could not resist scrapping these adorable photos of master Harrison and decided to pull out my Scrapbook Savvy July He's Savvy kit. Which featured Bo Bunny Party collection and there were the yummy chipboard tabs from 2 Crafty.
Add to the mix, a 2 Crafty Star Studded decorative border and this is what I have created and I love it.

Savvy August ABC Challenge
Into our second month of our ABC challenge and we have realised doing one letter a month would mean it would take 2 years to finish this album. Maybe a little too long, I did not really think things out very well did I.
So this month you will have the choice of using B, C or D to use for your one word title and create your page from.
Of course you could do all 3 letters during the month and have 3 fabulous pages.
And don't forget there is always a twist part of the challenge!
I want to see the following things included in your page/s:
Either
B is for some Buttons & Bling
or
C is for some Chipboard & cut work
or
D is for some Doodling & Distressing
To be in the running for the some Savvy dollars to spend in the store, please have your layouts uploaded in the correct gallery by midnight Tuesday August 31st 2010.
If you manage to complete all 3 pages, they will be judged as a seperate entry.
*Please create your layout for this challenge alone
Here is my 'B' page
Breathtaking
And one more thing before you go!
Thought I would share another page that I did last night, just cause!

Scrap the Boys August Challenge
Challenge One to kick the month off is to scrap a layout using flowers.
To make it a little easier, I will allow this one to be of you and your boy/s… Or if you can’t come at flowers …scrap about their feminine sides… or if you are feeling very clever… use both criteria.
Once you have created your “In Touch With His…” layout for August...upload it to your personal blog or an online gallery and then using the “linky” tool below please follow the prompts and create your thumbnail link back to your layout here.
Please when you leave your name also pop your country…ie. Susan Longman – AUS…
And remember to stay tuned for the next challenge on August 15th!!
Well there is definately no fear of using flowers here.
Poor Harrison doesn't get much of a say in the whole flower thing.
But I may pay for it later when he is older.
Special thanks to my2angels for supplying some goodies for us to create our page. Loved the ribbon and felt frame!!
I have scrapped Harrison's first day of school, a great photo of the two of us taken by Daddy. I have been meaning to scrap it for ages.
We did both survive the day thank goodness.
Big day for both of us

August Already!!
I can't believe we are already in the 8th month of 2010, scary really.
I have lots to share today, but might have to do it in stages if I get interrupted.
Firstly we kicked off Scrapbook Savvy's Winter Cybercrop on Friday night. All of the challenge are fabulous and can be seen here
Plenty of time to still play along, you have until Midnight Thursday July 5th to pop your pages into the correct gallery.
I have put together five puzzle pieces in a wintery theme for my challenge. They can appear in any shape or form and in any number, as long as we can see them.
Here are the pieces,
I have to say, I had a heap of fun putting my page together.
Ya gotta love Glossy Accents!!
My umbrella is in these gorgeous photo of Harrison
Clouds
Puddles
Splashes/raindrops

were all cut paper
