I was dragging my feet with my page for Sar's blind scrap and I didn't make the deadline but I was determined I was going to finish it.
I couldn't get the embellishment cluster to sit how I wanted it, so I just kept fiddling for a few days. A few tantrums in the creative process LOL!! but think I'm happy now.

Sharing my space
Miss Donna showed her scrap place on her blog a week or so ago and asked us to post our scrap space too. I had forgotten I had taken some photos for Bella Blvd back in November, I had to clean it up then so I thought I would share those photos.
I don't scrap in my room yet cause the lightening is not the best and I don't have a chair, but it holds (hides) all of my stuff.
The photos are not fabulous as the room is long and skinny so I can't get back far enough to take better photos, but you can get the idea.
I will be stealing a few of Donnas ideas, like the shoe organiser for my punches and I would love to put a bookshelf type thing on top of the huge desk to store more things. All in good time.

Scrapbook Savvy DT - October Afternoon Modern Homemaker
Well I said on the Savvy forum yesterday I was going to scrap all day and that is exactly what I did :).I did manage 2 loads of washing, but that was it!
I had a very productive day, helped by the fact I was left to my own devices for most of the day. OA Modern Homemaker is a beautiful, colourful collection, I found it so easy to scrap a variety of pages and each time the papers worked well together. I went from cooking to babies, babies to my boy without a hiccup.
You can still grab some of this collection in the Savvy Shop and remember there is still 25% off until the end of the month.

Right into Stuck?!
Yeah!!
It is Great to get the chance to play along at Stuck?! Sketches this month.
I've done sketch no. one ( and love it) and I have everything ready to do sketch no. two. Can you believe I am still scrapping christmas, just can't help myself. It may have something to do with all of the yummy Christmas papers I have to use :)
So I've done another page using Echo Park Paper - Merry Christmas, love the traditional colours in this collection.
'Merry'
Hopefully I will have more to share tomorrow.

Bo Bunny sketch
Well it has only taken me until the 2nd week of my holidays, but I am finally getting a chance to do something creative.
Thankfully I still have one more week of holidays to go :)
I decided to do the Bo Bunny sketch for this month's Layout challenge using the Cambridge collection. I really love the rich masculine colours in this range and I decided to flip the sketch onto its side to suit my photos.

2 Crafty reveal - Christmas 2010
I definitely had way too much fun putting this project together and I got extremely dirty doing it, but I would not have it any other way.
And yes, I will admit now to save any speculation, there were a number of 2 Crafty chipboard pieces tortured while I was busy creating :) and I am not sorry at all mwahahaha!!
First I held down the Christmas tree and slapped it around with some gesso, once dry, I attacked it with several colours of Distress Inks, gold embossed a few swirly patterns and then the final straw, drenched it with an abundance of Crackle Accent. Said piece was then locked away as punishment for taking an extremely LONG time to dry LOL!!
To pass the time, I grabbed a Flourish Ornament Border and chopped into several pieces. There was no suffering, it was quick and painless, baubles in one pile, flourish in the second pile and the bow left sitting on it's own.
All the bits were inked, some were doodled and one piece was glossed over.
They were then sent to lock up to be with the tree.
Slowly, after considerable time had passed and hands were now reasonably clean, I began to put these rebellious chipboard pieces in their place!
There was some resistance at first, but once over-powered, I was well on my way to finishing my project.
Special thanks to Echo Park Paper Co collection - Merry Christmas.
Couldn't have done it without you :)
Must admit, I am pretty happy with my tree, actually I am loving my page and I hope it tickles your creative mind in some way.
Thanks for calling in :)
PS: Yes it is very late to be writing and yes I am slightly delirious and my brain is fuzzy, but I made myself laugh writing this post!

Final Bella Blvd projects to share
I have 2 more project to share with you today that were created for my time featured on Bella Blvd.
The first page is featured today over on the Bella Blvd Blog, it is my tutorial on creating page burst on your layout. All the details are on the Bella Blvd blog.
The other project was a paper flower I created originally for a gift bag and liked it so much I made some cards and put one on there as well.
Thanks to Bella Blvd for such an awesome opportunity. I have always been a big fan of their products and I am looking forward to their winter CHA 2011 release.

Discovered something new
I'm not sure why I am not tucked away in my bed yet, too busy surfing the net!
I will pay for this tomorrow.
Anyways, I have stumbled across this company tonight whilst surfing and quite fancy some of their new collections. It would be nice to see their papers make there way down under so I can check them out IRL.
I guess you are wondering who the heck I am talking about.
I found Nikki Sivils through facebook, so I popped over to their blog and discovered some sneak badges of the upcoming collections.
I Love "We are family", but my definite favorite is "It's Raining, It's Pouring" Gorgeous colours!
Hopefully by posting the badge for my favorite collection here on my blog, I will be lucky enough to win. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am gonna try.....
To complete the '52 Week' challenge this year.
Create a page for each week of this year, taking the highlights or lowlights of each week in our family life and putting the memories in a layout.
I'm gonna do 8.5x11 format, something completely different for me, but hopefully that will also inspire me to finish it.
Feel free to encourage, harass or slap me around if I get behind.
I have totally loved watching the progress of Sar's album throughout 2010 and admit to being envious when she had finished her album. It was absolutely awesome!! A year worth of memories captured, things that may otherwise have been missed or forgotten. There were a number of Savvy girls who took up the challenge and they all did amazing pages.
So I am commiting to this challenge for 2011!!
Week One: Mount Lofty
I have the title page started on the table and almost ready to start week two.
Fingers crossed I can keep up.

A fantastic new site has been created By Sherry Mendoza called Your Creative Journey
Starting in 2011 she is bringing International Artist and Educators to Australia so we have the opportunity to attend their workshops and learn from them.
Love the idea and hope it catches on here in Sth Australia, I will definitely be having a chat to my LSS to jump on board.
Best of luck Sherry and hopefully I will be able to catch one of the interstate classes sometime. :)

2 Crafty reveal - Mr Mechanic
Afternoon All! I'm not long home from work and just relaxing with a nice cuppa. Thought I would share my latest layout from 2 Crafty.
I felt the need to grunge things up a bit for this page, it worked well for the photos and the chipboard pieces. Shame my hands still have the colour on them.
I have used some 2 Crafty Cute Cogs and tried to turn then into rusted metal.
A great technique taught to me by a fabulous scrapper, Rachelle Minett. Thanks Rach!
How cute does the boy look! He loves helping his Daddy outside.
Reminder:
For all of you chipboard lovers, how would you like the chance to win a prize pack?
There is still some time to enter the December chipboard challenge over at 2 Crafty and it is so easy!!
Use 3 or more pieces of 2 Crafty chipboard on your layout, that's it!!
We would love to see some entries.

Loving the long weekend
We've had a great weekend as a family, doing things outside and going for drives.
We headed to Mount Lofty Summit this morning for a look at the view over the city. It was a bit hazey, but still gorgeous!! Last night we ate out, decided on chinese being Shane's favourite. Harrison did a fabulous job with the banquet, I love that he is willing to try different foods. After tea we drove into the city to get the annual photo by the BIG christmas tree. It was a bit chilly, lucky we took jackets.
Scrapping wise, I have finished a page about my favourite scrapbook pages for 2010 and I have put my spin on Anthea's sketch this month at Scrapbook Savvy.
Done some stuff for 2 Crafty which I will share with you later, but OMG you should see my hands, they are soooooo dirty with inks and glue.
Some of my favourites
First time ever
OK best sign off, need to be up early tomorrow for work, Oh Yay!

Hope you are ready to do some scrapping this weekend.
Firstly there is still time to join in with Savvy's Dec CC, upload your layouts to the gallery before Midnight Jan 2nd (Tomorrow night) to be eligible for prizes.

This month the letters for Scrapbook Savvy ABC Challenge are...................

and the criteria for each letter is:
Q is for Quilling and Question ( add a question as a subtitle or as part of the journaling)
R is for Ribbon and Rub-ons (nice and easy one)
S is for Stamping and Staples
Create a page/or pages for each letter, use the letter for a one word title and include the corresponding criteria for that letter on your page.
Upload your page to the correct gallery before midnight Jan 31st to be eligible for the random draw. Remember layouts must be created for this challenge only.
I decided to tackle the hardest challenge first. I created a heart using the quilling technique and added a question as a sub-title.
