Finally had a chance to scrap

I am really enjoying this long weekend.
We didn't have anything planned, so I have dragged out my supplies and set up camp on the kitchen bench and table.
So far I have managed 4 pages, but with 2 days to go, I am hoping to get lots more done.

My first page I can only share a sneak peek, I will reveal it with the rest of the Scrapdango team on June 15th. I can tell you the Spice kit for this month is the gorgeous range from Glitz Design - Kismet.



Now this page is based on Anthea's gorgeous June sketch at Scrapbook Savvy But you know me, just had to add my own personal touch LOL!!

Kraft It Up June Challenge

Anyone who knows me and my style, would have been having a bit of a chuckle when Mel released this month's challenge over at Kraft It Up. And I admit, I did intially struggle with the whole concept, but after a large amout of shuffling of products, some creative soul searching and a few tantrums. I did manage to successfully finish my sample and I do LOVE it.

So thank you Mel once again for helping me to grow a little more!

OK have ya guessed what the challenge might be yet knowing that it turned my world topsy turvy????

Create a page using KRAFT as your base, with a minimalistic design.
So think white space! Keep it simple, leaving a large amount of your page vacant.

Email your layouts to kraft.it.up@hotmail.com before 8pm June 30th to be eligible for the prizes.

June AAM challenge at Savvy

This month @ Scrapbook Savvy I thought I would travel back to where we were born.
Whether it was a country town or in the heart of a city, it is good to document it for your family to look back on.
I didn't have any old house photos on hand, which would have been cool so I jumped on the computer and began to research my home town.
I remember the main industries in town were the railways where most of Dad's family worked and the Power Station, which is one of the first thing you spot driving into town. But my most specil memory of our great town was being so slose to the beautiful Flinders Rangers. So these are the photos I have included in my page.

If you where born in a capital city maybe check out some important spots back when you where born and include that on your page. Maybe a some sort of map will work well too.

That is your challenge for the month of June, scrap a page about the place you were born and upload it to the correct gallery before Midnight June 30th to be considered for some Savvy goodness.

You need to use KRAFT and you must create your OWN PAPER, whether it is your background paper (Kraft) or you opt to create some patterned paper to use on your page.
This must be created by stamping, misting, masking or painting and you can use any medium inks, glimmermist, texture paints, gel mediums, paints, crackle paints etc...

A little fun

My dear cyber friend Toni has put out the challenge to record some of our 'Deadly Sins'. So here are some of mine.

1. SLOTH -- how do you relax?
Either with a hot cup of coffee, surrounded by silence, sitting on my big butt in front of the computer, surfing the net. or Scrapping to the wee hours of the morning un-interrupted.

2. GLUTTONY -- what can't you get enough of, even though it's bad for you?
Turkish Delight, I know I shouldn't, but what is a girl to do!

3. GREED -- what do you get greedy for?
My 'ME' time, if I don't get some every now and then, I get a bit nasty.

4. ENVY -- what makes you green?
Full time Stay at home Mum's, I wish!

5. LUST -- what does it for you?
Definitely my man!! Just would like it more often hehehe!!

6. PRIDE -- what are you inordinately proud of?
That I have survived all of the tough times and I am still here, changed, but here.

7. WRATH -- what makes you angry?
People who can not drive within the speed limit, fast or slow, they drive me NUTS!!!

May reveal @ Scrapbook Savvy

I am always very lucky when it comes to the product I receive from Sarah at Scrapbook Savvy and this month was certainly no exception.
I was so excited when I spotted Teresa Collins 'Mr & Mrs' collection in my parcel. It is like Sarah can read my mind, scary some-one can know you so well, purely over the internet.

A gorgeous mix of cream, black and white, it is so stunning and elegant!
And yes it has been created as a wedding collection, but it is so much more.
The patterns are simple yet classical, making for easy mix and matching and will suit many topics.

I definitely wish I had some spare money this month. The kits put together by Sara and Sarah are just amazing. And once again, sadly, one of the kits 'We're Savvy' has already sold out. Not at all surprised with the beautiful bright colours from We R Memory Keepers.

These kits are usually available the 1st of each month, so pop Scrapbook Savvy in your favourites to check them out.

'He's Savvy' features papers from Basic Grey awesome collection Max & Whiskers and some gorgeous co-ordinating pieces from My Mind's Eye.



'She's Savvy' has a gorgeous mix of papers from a number of different companies and they all blend perfectly together.

May 'All about me' Challenge @ Savvy

I tried to get a little bit creative with this month's challenge and have scrapped my page without any photos.

The topic this month is 'What does your name mean?'.

You can get a lot of information by googling your names, and like me, you will find some of it very close to your true character and the rest of it pretty crazy.
But they say take the good with the bad.
I also included some stuff about the month I was born and what that means.
Ask you family if they remember why your name was chosen.

Scrap a page about the meaning of your name, photos are optional.

Upload your entries to the appropriate gallery before Midnight May 31st to be in the running for some Savvy dollars.

Magical Mystery Tour comes to an end

I can't believe it is over.
What an amazing 10 weeks it has been.
The challenges have been so creative and inspiring, it had my brain in over-drive.
But all in a good way.
